KOREAN RACE REPORT ASF:
Q: 4th Full wet conditions....put in what I thought was a quick
lap, and held the top of the standings until about 5 minutes to
go and then started trickling downwards by Moussa, then Striker,
then Livo. I went out for one more lap, was purple in sector 1
by .002, and then spun out on a curb and lost it all.
R: ? Race ruined by the safety car...figures.
Got a great jump off the line and beat Livo to turn 1. I was
just far enough away to get in Moussa's draft and I was topping
out right at the end. When I reached the braking zone, I
realized that both cars ahead of me broke WAY too early, and I
nearly took both Mouss and Striker out, but somehow came out
clean and even stole 2nd place. Striker was dancing all over the
track with his assists turned off, and right at the end of the
track, he broke very early and Moss rammed me into him and
damaged my front wing. I let Moussa pass on Lap 2 in the twisty
part of sector 1 and slotted right in behind him. They both
began to pull away so I turned my fuel down and hoped to
re-catch them again at the end of the stint. Livo was catching
me as well...but never actually got up to me. Striker would up
spinning out on the last turn and he ricocheted off the wall and
nearly took me out but I stayed pointed straight and pit in for
fresh rubber.
I came out on primes and on the next lap I had jumped both cars
and retook the lead. I went wheel to wheel with Moss several
times on this stint, him passing me in DRS, and I would pass him
back... and I made a divebomb pass on him at the end of the 2nd
straightaway to take the lead back. He let me ahead this time
and when my tires went off at the end of the stint he was there
to take the lead back from me again. I pitted and came out on
options right behind Macca. I can see Macca was struggling at
what was probably the end of his prime stint, and I overtook him
at the end of DRS on lap 12. I was running very consistent laps
for the options stint, and I was again able to jump both livolay
and moussa on the pit cycle. On my in lap, kiwi had crashed and
brought out the safety car, which gave me a free pit stop (I
needed it taking into account what Livo's strategy was seeming
to turn out).
When the safety car came back in, I noticed that Moussa's tires
were going to be the worse out of the two, and sure enough Livo
ate him up and puled away. I also was able to get the better of
Moussa at the end of the long straightaway again. Livo was all
over the track on lap 23 and the gap was closed down to less
than a second as he dove into pit lane letting me have the lead
back. I turned my fuel up and planned to get options for the
last stint. I pitted and as I boxed, another safety car came
out.
Now here's how everything happened in my view with the safety
car:
I exited the pit lane in 1st place and when I got on to the
backstraight the safety car was STOPPED in the middle of the
track on my screen, so I stopped with it. Suddenly it
disappeared and I continued driving. I saw it halfway down the
next straightaway, so I drove normal speed to catch up to it. I
saw the black dot on my minimap jumping all over the place so
when I caught up to it I tried my best to drive completely off
the racing line so if it lagged, it wouldn't take me out. When
we got through sector 3, the SC stopped yet again on the last
double left hander, so I came to another complete stop, and this
time both Livo and Paul drove past me. Paul's Ferrari completely
blew up, hit the safety car, and destroyed his vehicle. Livo's
car hit the safety car as well and DQ'd. The safety car stopped
again on the back straight....and Macca got disconnected. When I
continued driving down the backstraight, Striker drove right
past me and repeated what Paul's did....and then finally Moss's
did the same thing.
Bam, race over. I was the only car left on the circuit, and when
I crossed the finish line under green the race was over.
I don't know what to say. I've heard before that the safety car
is a complete disaster but this is the first time I've ever been
in a race that ended up THIS bad. Shame cus I really would've
liked to see what would've happened on those last 3 laps with me
on the options and my two rivals on primes. Guess we'll never
know.

Q-5th. R-4th???
Qualy session was a tuff one in full wet conditions on my least
favorite track of the season. Was sitting 8th place with seconds
left on the clock I managed to haul myself up to fifth in a last
gasp effort. I was very happy with that as I pretty much thought
I was going to be a backmarker round here.
I had a good start off the line and think I gained a position. I
held position for a few laps until I did a really crap lap and
from then on I lost my rythem and was putting in horrible lap
times. It wasn't really till my first pit stop that I regained
composure and seemed to get some consistency back into my
driving. Anyway went for another set of primes which I'm not
totally sure was the right thing to do. I had a nice battle once
again with striker with some good clean inside outside passing
maneuvers which was fun. I think it was yz that spun at the
tight right after the big straight. I was soo close to hitting
his sideways car coming out of that turn it wasn't funny.
Because I had to avoid a crash here and take avasive action
which let striker through I was a bit stressed to say the least.
Lucky latter that lap I repassed striker to get fourth back. I
was about to pit for fresh options on lap 24 when boom out comes
the safety car again and I thought ok this may not be that bad
after all as I was in fourth with fresh options and heaps of
fuel. Wots more livo and moss were on primes. I like you drew
was gutted we all dropped out as I was quite excited about those
last three laps.
Anyway on my screen it was drew livo then moss then me then
striker behind the safety car. Drew livo and moss all passed the
sc and I was stuck behind it and couldn't go past it. Then Paul
and stiker came flyin past either side of me clipping my car and
then I got the dredded you have lost your connection to the
session crap.
So I guess I finished fourth behind drew livo and moss with
striker 5th???
Gotta love these codemasters games aye!

Started 3rd on primes with a 3 stop strategy.
Had some good racing with Moss mainly & was about to overtake
Drew for 1st as he exit the pits on his last stop but for some
reason the game put me to a stop due to the safety car & had to
wait for Drew to join the track ahead of me. I was on options
too but they were a lap older.
With Drew in front & Moss behind, the final few laps were
shaping up to be great racing but Codemasters couldn't allow
that to happen could they? >:(
As for points? Happy to go with half points or full points
whatever Gazza decides is best.
DOD: Drew - well done mate ;) not sure if it counts as your 1st
???

Yeah Livo the tire deg was not as severe as I thought it was
going to be...I probably could've stretched my stops out a
little more like you did but I just went with the default as I
did not want to get caught out. Before the 1st safety car it
looked like you were gonna have a 3-stopper all planned out.
Was very surprised at my pace as you and Moussa both usually
wipe the floor with me but I must have some sort of secret with
this track lol
That was probably the most fun race I've had this season. Can't
wait to see Moussa's / Gazza's video

Hi! Qualify 2nd and finish behid macca, well would say! :-\
As we did qualy in the wet i put the race line assist. Forgot
to turn that off and did not help 4 racing... every lap on the
sharp corner after the longstrait was missing brake point becous
of that start geting a bit frustrated. was racing most of the
time with macca i probably had the best figth in season 1 that
was cool macca. I think we were going to be racing till like
that. but Safity car just made messs 4 everyone so no much to
say about it.

Qualifying report:
I tryed 2 different setup for the rain, and my first setup was
way off, I knew it was way off because I've done a qualifying
before On full wets with assists turned off at this track, I did
a 1:41 before.
So for my seconds run, I changed my setup and had 2 seconds
faster than my first lap, did a 1:41.3 and hitting the wall
turning into the last corner I lost a few tenths.
race:
My plan was a 4 stopper, because 3 stop is impossible, I
realized that livo had a different plan, I think he was going
for the 3 stop but I knew it was impossible because at the end
he had to put on the options, and the options won't last more
than 5 laps.
Had a bad start, sticker jumped into the inside, so I had to
slow down and avoid collisions, 2nd corner I saw an arrow
maximizing quickly so I slowed down early again just to avoid a
collision, So I followed drew and striker close behind. I drove
as carefully as possible but striker kept making mistakes and
drewdawg brake early so I bumped drewdawg a couple of times,
sorry drew.
Drew and sticker pitted, then I pitted 2 laps later I had the
prime tires and rejoined with another set of primes, then
followed striker and drew again, they made a couple of mistakes,
so I took advantage and passed them.
I knew the race was bettween me and livo before the safety car
came out, livo was using mix3 for a couple of laps more than I
did, so that was my advantage, but tire strategy was a gamble.
Safety car came out, and stupid am I not to pit, I had only 2
laps on my primes but If I had pitted that would've saved me a
stop, but my intelegence came out right after I passed the pits,
so it was too late for me to pits.
So after the safety car, I new it was much harder for me to win,
livo had an advantage on me, drewdawg had fresh tires and joined
the game, it was all up to me to drive as hard as possible
because that one race I love to win (one of the 18 other races
:p).
Lap 22 my tire were torn apart, I had no grip, losing allot of
time, so I pitted right away for option, then safety car came
out again and a disaster happened.

So...what are we doing then for this race? Are we re-running it?
Full points as the results when the safety car was deployed?
