Here is the video from my final week of racing (where I hurt my
rib at the end), brought to you by my racing opponent, Tom
Caspar's helmet camera. The racing got very dicey in the last
few minutes, but you can see me in the rear camera (and almost
an outside pass) at the 4:40 mark (making a pass behind) and
then finally making the pass on Tom stick at the 7:00 mark.
My crash is somewhere around 12:48.

Looks like a wicked track drew. Hard to pass though unless the
guy in front makes a mistake aye.

Yes but such is the atmosphere in an indoor track. Hard to get a
real run on someone like outdoor.

Just curious how is the starting grid determined & are the karts
equal?

The karts are pretty much as "equal" as they are in F1 2011 :D.
What I mean is that they are supposed to be equal or only have a
different of .2 or .3 sec a lap difference between them, and the
good drivers can squeak that time out of those karts anyway.
Our league runs two heats (about 15 minutes each, depending on
how long the track is determines the number of laps). We go out
for 3 laps of qualifying, (car on cold tires!) and the grid is
determined that way. The 2nd heat is the reverse qualifying
order. This video is heat 2 of our last week, so this guy
would've qualified dead last for the 1st heat since he is
starting at the front in the 2nd race.
