I'm p i s sed at myself.
This is one of my favorite tracks of the season, and I purposely
spent hours and hours driving this track, dialing in a good
setup, and trying to be consistent so I would have a good run
and be able to take some good points and even grab the top step
of the podium. Well, this was probably the worst race of the
season for me and I made so many STUPID mistakes that I almost
feel like I need to put this game down for a while.
Q: 6th Had to settle for 6th, about 1 sec behind supanash. I was
sure I could hit a 1:32.9 like Livo had, but just couldn't put
it together.
R: 6th Well, I got a better start off the line then Ben, so I
tried to take his right side, but I should've thought better as
we were all getting ready to turn right, and I got caught out
and bounced into Gary. Was gonna take the outside line into turn
1, but Ben was parked in the chicane, so Macca got past as well,
and when I rejoined the track, I was side by side with Ben and
outbroke him in turn 3. Josh must have slid past as well because
he pushed me right off the track at turn 5. So I rejoined and
then he divebombed me at the end of both DRS zones. There was no
way that you had either of those spots, Josh, and instead you
were just taking you and I further and further back behind Macca
and Ben.
Next lap, Josh outbraked himself at turn 5, and I got the spot.
Then I went to work on Ben and Macca. I got a drive-thru penalty
on lap 4 I think it was, when I bounced off the last inside wall
on the last section and cut the corner before the pit lane and
then ultimately the last turn. I then was catching Macca at a
good clip down the front straightaway, and went to overtake at
turn 1, and instead locked up the brakes and spun out into him.
So sorry for that Macca, I can't believe that I got all checked
up through there. I felt terrible after that. So I had 2
penalties now, for dangerous driving as well. UGH
So I served BOTH penalties, and then finally was able to take my
first pit stop. On my out lap, I broke my front wing at turn 1
(F!#*) and had to come BACK in on lap 8. Supanash and Livo had
lapped me by then, and now I am just driving around, wanting to
just quit the damn race, but was hoping and praying that there
would be a safety car, so that I can stay out when Nash and Livo
pitted and I can just join the back of the queue. Alas, it
didn't happen.
On my next pitstop, I came out right ahead of gun, so I let him
past, and then actually wound up driving behind him for a
handful of laps or so until he made a mistake at turn 1 and I
was back to being alone again. Closest gap was to Striker ahead,
a whole 45 seconds and it stayed that way for essentially the
rest of the race.
I tried going for fast lap after that to get the extra point,
and was purple in sectors 1 and 2, and as I was finishing up the
last section, I saw that Chris got the fastest lap. REALLY
CHRIS?! >:(
We'll trudge on to the next one I guess. Silverstone is a track
I am strong at as well, but I seriously need to take some time
away from this game. I don't know if I am going to race tomorrow
or not.
Don't know who I'd choose for driver of the day because, well, I
didn't race with anyone. For nash to get a 40 second lead over
the field to get his 1st win is pretty remarkable, in my opinon,
so I think he deserves it.

Q 3rd
i couldnt really make a set up with good traction during the
week ,why i dont know but after speaking to macca and nash after
the race i now know why...so my qualy session was tense ,i was
on the edge of control and had to lift off the gas in corners
where its usally flat out..so i was really happy to get 3rd
race 2nd
had a mark webber start ,not enough revs and i just boged down
but was able to hold the posistion for the first few
laps.straight away i knew i couldnt keep up with livo and
nash,so my concern was gazza riding all over my back...it seems
the last few races me and gaz have had some good clean battles
(lots of fun)....so we took stabs at eacother for a few laps
until i pitted ,i put in a fast out lap and after gaz pitted i
was just infront again...i changed my balance before the race
hoping for more grip but it didnt work gaz was making up time on
me in the last sector due to my lose rear end.but i was able to
put in good fast 1st and 2nd sectors to pull a nice comftable
gap...once livo dropped out i was in 2nd and with no worries in
the world...at some point i lapped drew (thanks for movin over)
but as soon as i was infront of him my tyres went off the cliff
and he was on me ,i felt bad here i was lapping him and then
holding him up,i was confused and didnt know what to do,i didnt
wanna pit because it was too early,so amongst my confussion i
ran down the run off at turn 1 damn it.
after my next stop i was in 1st but nash was just behind,,i
nearly ended both mine and nashy's race i ran wide at a corner
as nash came beside me i put the foot down spun up the rear
wheels through 1st and 2nd gear and hit nashy with my rear tyres
in his side pod..sorry mate ...
my last stop i threw on the options with 8 laps to go.i had
another run off at turn 1 so i did a u turn and just snuk
infront of gaz.i was able to pull a small gap again .on the 4th
last lap i thought id go for the 1 point (fastest lap) i had 2
almost moments due to my balance issue andc backed out of the
attempt..so i tried again on the 2nd last and got it,but i was
thinkin once nashy saw that come on screen that he would push to
take it off me,so i pushed hard again on the last lap just
incase he tried,in sector 3 i spun up the rears again and
decided to shut it down and just cruz home ...
overall happy as to get 2nd i was no match for nash.
i must say bad luck to my team mate macca ,he recieved a drive
thru but fought hard to get 4th ;)
d.o.d. nash without a doubt well done mate and congrads on
becoming a BRIDE lol
@drew chin up buddy..sometimes a lil break is good ive went from
playin everday to just 3 or 4 times a week and it helped me ..i
suggest race tues,wends have a break for 2 days then go again

Qually 5th, had a good start, passed Beno before the 1st corner,
was on Guns gearbox for a couple of laps and passed him to take
3rd, he got me back 2 laps later and then it was on, Gun pitted
and I pitted next lap and came out just behind him, must talk to
my pit crew, not fast enough at 4.5 sec, might have been in
front if i had a quicker pit stop, got in his DRS zone but didnt
have the fuel to overtake, Livo dropped out on lap 9 so i just
tried to race consistently and maybe someone would make a
mistake, not to be, Gun went off at turn 1 but had enough time
to stay in front of me, I didnt have the fuel to catch him so i
tried to keep my position because Macca was chopping time out of
me every lap, started at 18 sec and ended up down to 6 sec due
to my fuel conservation, hung on to finish 3rd, was happy with
that.
Driver of the day would have to go to Supanash for Pole
Position, led all the way and finished 1st, good win mate,
congratulations on your first win. :)

Q - 1
Was sitting in 3rd on primes, 0.6 or so off Livo's time and
thought I may as well go for pole on the options. I've failed to
do that a couple of times over the season so far and it's really
cost me in the race. My lap on options wasn't all that clean but
still got me a fairly comfortable pole, so I was pretty pleased
with that!
R - 1
Well I had to win one sooner or later. Obviously, Livo's
disconnection played a big part but I think I'd have been in
with a good shout of winning anyway.
Got off to a decent start but couldn't shake Livo and he got
past me when DRS was activated. I got back past him a couple of
laps later when he ran wide just before the little bridge after
the end of sector 1. I then pitted early on lap 5 to remain on
fresh tyres. Livo stayed out a couple of laps longer and when he
came out of the pits he was about 5 sec behind me. He
disconnected soon after that, so I was very much on my own. I
put the engine on mix 1 for the second half of the race, just to
avoid any chance of out-breaking myself anywhere. Was still
doing reasonable lap times and everyone else seemed to be having
incidents and dropping further back. I did think about cranking
up the fuel mix at the end to go for the fastest lap, but
decided to just play it safe and get the win.
I did have a bit of a scare when overtaking gun, who ran very
wide at the hairpin after the bridge. I got a bit of a whack as
I went past and couldn't understand how he managed to hit me.
Having read his race report, I know now what happened.
Fortunately, my car wasn't damaged.
The other scare I had was when I accidentally selected
Intermediate tyres for my final pit stop. Just about had enough
time to reselect options!
So I got my first win on one of my least favourite circuits, and
I'm pretty hopeful for the rest of the season. As I was saying
to Macca and gun after the race, I'm doing a lot better since
the patch. I've been racing in the public lobbies and find I'm
getting really good results. It might sound strange but I'm a
lot happier when there's less grip. Just feels odd to me to be
able to go round a corner fast without having to work at it.
It's my home Grand Prix next up, and that was one of my very
best circuits in the 2010 game. So I'll probably come last ;-)

Well done Supanash!
Shame I dropped out as I'm sure it would of been close as I
think you were on a 3 stop & I was on a 2 stop.
Good racing while it lasted ;)

Cant really remember the finer details of my race as it was a
few days ago now but anyway.
Q=7th R=4
Had a crap qually and couldnt put a lap together the whole
session and ended up P7. My start was good and I cleanly gained
positions on Drew and I think Beno which put me up into P5. I
think I had good race pace as I was keeping Gun and Gaz in my
sights but after my incedent with Drew on lap four as he
mentioned above I was handed a drive through penalty when I did
a donut to get my car pointing back in the correct direction. I
then served my penalty on the next lap and ended up last.
Stink. No hard feelings Drew.
Then I just set out to catch the guys ahead. Im pretty happy
with fourth to be honest, still got a good haul of points as did
my team mate (good drive Chris).
Nash you get D.O.T.D as you were untouchable today.
Hard luck to Livo for the DNF due to disconection. Better luck
next time bro.
