Patch on Monday! So do we race this week?

Looks like it's official that the patch is going to be released
this Monday. So do we give everyone a week to get used to the
new world, or do we just go ahead on Tuesday anyway?
Maybe we could have a practice race this week at one of the
circuits we've already done, to get a feel for any differences.
Not Monaco though!

I don't see a reason why we can't just race normal league. I
actually have been practicing Montreal with a non 11/11 setup
because I knew the patch would "spring" on us. ;)

But it's not just 11/11 that's broken. All spring settings are
bugged, so that as you increase from 6 up to 11 you gain 0.5 sec
a lap or more with each step. So, unless your non 11/11 setup is
in fact 6/6 then I reckon you are still going to notice a big
difference, not just to lap times but grip levels as well.
I'd prefer to have a week to get used to it, but I'll go with
whatever everyone else wants to do.

maybe YOU gain .5 sec a lap, lol. I didn't know that the changes
in those springs were THAT dramatic.

This video is one of the best demonstrations of the bug that
I've seen. Maybe my 0.5 sec was an underestimate!

Interesting video, but these are just insinuating that you keep
the springs the same. I think for a good setup without the bug,
the springs may have to be offset a bit. (11/9 or 8/6 or
something)

I expect you're right. Don't think I ever had equal springs on
2010. This is why I wouldn't mind a week to explore what's
changed

I guess we wait and see if the patch comes on Monday for sure
and see what difference it makes, I am easy either way about
racing this week with the unknown, how about we have a vote? At
the top of this page please vote.
