arrrrghhhhhhhh
qualy 1st
the race well it started without me u guys took off and i was
stuck at the start line for 22secs......and then my connection
dropped out with 4 laps to go..
soooooooooooo frustrating
so what was the results????

safety car comes out with 5 laps to go
didn't even have foot on throttle & smash into safety car as i
head into the tunnel
question - do i get points? would like everybody's opinion
never drove a better race at monaco & never left a race so
pissed off
this patch better fix up this game!
another idea is to scrap these race results & come back here
post patch?

That was an interesting race for sure...
I agree with Livo that I haven't driven better at that track. I
was posting consistent quick lap times and I felt like I was in
the running for a good finish.
I snuck past gun and nash at the start and followed Livo into
the first turn. We quickly pulled away from the field and I took
the lead on the last turn as Livo made a slight mistake entering
that last hairpin. Spent 4 or 5 laps with Livo tailing me and
finally spun on the last chicane before the final hairpin and
Livo took the lead back. I pitted for primes on Lap 6.
My primes stint was pretty good, except I had Cam right behind
me for the whole stint and on my screen, it said his time was 10
seconds ahead of mine, so I needed to try and create a gap. I
pulled out maybe 2 or 3 seconds overall, and out comes the first
safety car. Safety car glitch is the worst as it took my
teammate out, and made me come to a complete stop at the top of
the hill. I lost a place to Nashy (under yellow, mind you) and
we continued on.
Green flag comes out and that "gap" that I had to Cam was back
up to over 11 seconds now. We both came in for (what we thought)
was our final stop on Lap 28, but funny enough, both of us
forgot to change our tires to primes, so we both left on
options. Again, I started to create a slight gap. Lap 32 I had
just come out of the chicane after the tunnel when I noticed
someone had lost connection, looked down to see who it was, and
BOOM destroyed my vehicle, which brought out another safety car,
and I f'd up someone's race cus of it =(
Driver of the day...well if I could give it to myself, I would.
But I would have to give it out to Livo, who got DQ'd
essentially because of me, and I feel terrible about it =( I'm
sorry buddy.

I feel the same as you guys that for sure was one of my best
races. I felt like I was definitely on for a podium but hey il
take the win. Feel sorry for you though Livo that was your win I
think. The start was very strange I was fifth on the grid and
when the lights went green I was the only one that moved then
coming into the tunnel I was all of a sudden in eighth place and
behind striker! WTF!
Anyway I thought to myself just make the best of what I was delt
and I tried to just be consistent and not make any mistakes. The
whole race I was super focused and just kept my head down trying
to stay clear of trouble. Just missed Ben when he spun at the
right hander before the tunnel. Then set out to catch I think it
was gaz at that stage until the first of two safety cars was
deployed. Both safety cars helped me allot especially the second
one as like drew said above we pitted with ten laps to go and
came out on scrubbed options which wasn't going to work. So drew
you may have buggered livos race but you sure helped me out
letting me chuck another set of options on towards the end of
the race. I for sure would have had to stop again otherwise.
Pitty some of you had issues which I feel bad about but I can't
say I'm dissapointed to get a win. Good ol curry muncher didn't
let me down once again.

Q 3rd. Less than a second off pole on primes was ok, especially
as I forgot to turn the fuel up.
R 2nd. Nightmare first lap for me. Snuck past gun at the start
when he didn't move, but drew had a clear run and got ahead of
me. All sorts of weird stuff happened up the hill with cars
popping in and out. Then in the turn before the hairpin I lost
my front wing. Felt like I got a nudge but I have no idea
really. I definitely got a nudge after the hairpin and was spun
round. So I was last with no wing after less than half a lap. By
the time I'd got a new wing I was miles behind.
In clean air I put in some good times, and after the option
runners pitted I was up in 3rd somehow. Then we got the first
safety car, which is when I pulled off one of the all-time great
overtakes, slicing past drew and the safety car into 2nd place.
Drew probably saw it differently ;) I still had 3 stops to
make at this stage so it wasn't a real 2nd place anyway.
2nd safety car - I got a message about gun destroying his car
and then drew doing the same straight after. Later found out
that gun actually got disconnected. When livo got disqualified
for hitting the laggy safety car I found myself in the lead!
When I caught the SC it was all over the place and I thought I'd
soon get disqualified for hitting it like livo. Then the SC
pulled a new trick and disappeared altogether, and I had to rely
on the 'too fast' / 'too slow' messages to maintain the right
gap.
There was only a couple of laps left when we started racing
again and I was able to get my car to the finish line first,
only to be robbed by Macca who must have a cheat code that gives
him a 10 second boost whenever he needs it ;)
So, after a mad race, I finished in my usual spot - 2nd. Always
the bridesmaid, never the bride!

Great recovery mate to go from last to first (then find out
Macca wins after the race)
Special mention to Macca who stayed out of trouble - congrats on
your 1st win of the season :)

Thanks Livo doesnt feel like a win but anyway I did work hard to
stay out of trouble. At one stage behind the safety car I
completely stopped behind Ben as I new if I went past I would
have got a penalty. I was also like you Nash in relying on the
messages or sound of the safety car to make sure the gaps were
correct. I think why I was given the win even though you were in
front Nash would have been on time rather than position on
track. I guess this would be because of the staggered start. I
have seen it before with the 2010 game also.
Hope the next race goes better for everybody.
