Guess I'll get the ball rollin here..
2nd go-around of quali was better than my first...got up to 5th
and then did some laps on primes to see how I got on with them.
Started the race and was the meat in the sandwich going into the
first corner...Cam on my outside and Josh on the inside. Looked
like Cam was starting to lose it so I turned down to avoid him,
and instead got punted by someone going pretty fast and then was
facing backwards into the outer wall. Came back on to the track
in last place, and made some moves on Castrol and Kiwi and was
up to Josh again by the end of the lap.
A gaggle of cars dipped on to pit road on lap 5 when I wanted to
go in, so I stayed out and hoped to gain a couple of spots from
the commotion on pit lane and it worked out well. Came out ahead
of the train, but had contact with Cam at the exit of the first
turn complex and barely saved myself from a spin (racing
incident, I think, no blame awarded). Was in 10th at that point
(Cam 11th), and we started our trek through the field. Saw some
questionable contact later that lap between Ben/Josh going
through the loop at the bottom of the track...don't know what
that was about. Castrol/JAZA/Gaz all pitted, and got hit by JAZA
as he was exiting pit road and had to save myself from ANOTHER
spin. After that I was in 5th position and chasing the guys
ahead of me. Kiwi dipped into the pits and I moved up to 4th,
and then I caught up to and passed Striker down in the hairpin
to take position 3.
Spent the last half of the race or so driving around all alone.
Nash and Gun were feeding off of each other's DRS every lap so
their speed going down that back straightaway was no match for
me to catch up. The gap stayed 10/11 seconds or so until our
final pit stop and I shaved about 3-4 sec off their lead. I was
able to get the lead down to almost 4 sec, but then I had to
start saving fuel as I went into the red zone. Came in at the
bottom step of the podium, which is my best finish of the season
so far.
Need lots of practice at Istanbul, after the calamity I just ran
a few minutes ago. Hate that track!

first off great race by all...and alot of respect shown by all
:)
first and second qualy i came 2nd just .200 behind nashy both
times .great laps mate :)
wow what a race,from lap 1 to 28 there was only a maximum of
1.5sec gap between me and nashy.
after my first stop i came out right behind nash again .all most
every lap i was in the drs zone but he would block the inside
every time.we would be side by side at the hairpin nearly every
lap but i could not pull off the pass coming out at the hair
pin.twice i did but , then we were side by side going into the
last corner ,and on both occassions 1 of us pulled out so the
other could get through.(great racing)
every time going into the 1st corner he would block the inside
so i had no where to pass,his defensive skills are the best ive
seen.i think i had the lead a few times but it only lasted half
a lap before he would pass me again..
at the second stop i followed nash in and then we started again.
with 10 laps to go i turned my fuel right down ,and started to
short shift gears to save fuel and tyres .in hope i could crank
it right up for the last 3 laps and make a move.after being on
his ass for 25 odd laps i,knew where i could pass,knew where he
pulled away and knew were i gained ground..the only way was at
the hairpin were i tried numerous times but couldnt do it .so on
the 2nd last lap under drs at full revs i made the move at the
hair pin and it stuck phewwww..at the last lap he had drs ,but i
had a reall good drive out of the right hander and kept the lead
for the win :)
congrats to drew for 3rd,u held a very consitent gap to us.and
to my team mate jaza for 5th well done
without fail that was the best race ive been in,not for the win
,but the battle with nash

Had a terrible qualify the game decided to take me out of
proceedings, started 11th, got a good start then got spun by
kiwi on the first corner, thanks mate, macca you were no where
near me, regained my composure and started to gain on the pack,
got up to 4th behind my team mate drew but had to conserve fuel,
had a good battle with jaza but couldnt stay with him due to
fuel, kept my position at 6th for the rest of the race, beno was
gaining but held him off, maybe would of done better if i could
of qualified? Happy with sixth, good race from all, sounds like
gun and nash had a good battle, well done ugotgun for the win.
Driver of the day would have to be ugotgun for the win, special
mention to my team mate for bouncing back to get a podium
finish, well done drew.

Terrible race for the Ferrari's, quallied in 10th I
think...started the race, swerved to miss someone on the first
corner, but failed on that count..which ended up spinning off
the track, then quite a uneventful race...mainly by myself, and
a couple of cars way off in the distance, finished 8th.

My race was just like yours castrol only worse haha. Pretty much
a weekend to forget for the ferraris. It's hard to find any
positives in that race that's for sure. Although I was running
high downforce I struggled with understeer all race, maybe I
wasn't running enough camber? Back to the drawing board for my
setup at this track. Great race again by all. Congrats to gun
and Nash. My driver of the day goes to drew for being last on
the first lap and coming through the field for a podium. Well
done mate that's a dam good effort!

great race by all.got pushed into gazza on the first corner
slowed to earlie for castrol as i could see what was happening
and got pushed into gazza from then on as most others raced
trying to make up places but just not fast enough.better luck
next week
