first off great start to the season by every 1....now my ramble
Q5th ..lol everytime i was on a hot lap i got real nervous and
cut the last corner on 3 occasions so i didnt really get a
decent lap time in.but well done striker top lap mate
the race.. just goes to show when u get a good bunch of
guys togather ,u get a clean start/race and know1 yelling at
eachother :)
striker and nash got a bit of a jump on me and macca early on so
for the first few laps i was trying to find a way past macca
while fighting off livo from behind he made countless attempts
to pass but i was able to block him..i knew from experoince if u
let livo past ,its twice as hard to get the place back off
him.at the first stop i was in 2nd behind striker he was 10 secs
ahead managed to rain him in with in a couple of laps but once i
got to him he was lagging really bad.i was close enough for drs
by the time i passed him before the first turn he was gone.(lost
connection) bad luck buddy.
after that i had a pretty steady 10 sec lead for the whole
race,besides gazza cut it down to 5 secs at one stage but he
either went off track or pitted..and it was back up to
10secs...nashy kept me honest and the latter part of the
race...i had a 8 sec lead on him up till my last stop,sat in 2nd
for a bit but he must have put the foot down once i pitted cuz
when he pitted i took 1st place back but by only 5 secs ,and i
was really worried when he did a 1.19.200 and my best was 1
second slower.. but i managed to pull away and take my first
ever league win... :)
my driver's of the day are...............gaz and nashy for
keepin me honest

Qual'd last, after blowing up my engine, or whatever the hell
happened in qual.
Jumped off the line ahead of Joshua, and then took a wide run
into turn 1, got a BS drive-thru penalty (I was hardly off the
track) for illegal overtake on Castrol...by the time my
drive-thru was up I was a good 20 seconds behind the pack.
From there just focused solely on not cutting any corners....pit
stops cycled through and I wound up ahead of kiwi, beno, and
josh. Josh passed me, and kiwi's gap to me was closing at a
rapid pace also. Came in for my 2nd pitstop just to find that
kiwi crashed right behind me. Left the pits and beno was able to
overtake me as well. From there, I wound up getting another
corner cutting drive-thru, and then found myself being lapped by
the frontrunners also.
All-in-all just a terrible and dissatisfying race. Only overtook
1 car the entire race and wound up getting a penalty for it.
Just glad that my least favorite track in the game is done and
overwith and I can get on with it. I am usually right up there
in the action, but this time around I found myself running
almost 3 seconds slower than every car on the grid. Don't know
what I was doing wrong but to be that much slower than everyone
for 29 laps is pretty disappointing. Hope I fare better next
week.
Don't really know who i'd give drivers of the day too, since I
spent 95% of the race alone on track.

Q - 4th
Still not sure what happened here. Did a banker lap on primes
and was on my in lap before going for pole on the options, when
my car was destroyed. Maybe I did hit something but I didn't
think so. I'd have had a good chance of pole on the options and
my race would have been very different.
Talking of which...
Race - 2nd
Only my 4th online race in F1 2011, and it took me a while to
remember that humans aren't the same as AI! I didn't defend very
hard on the first couple of laps and a few people got past. Knew
that most people would be on options so I wasn't too worried.
All was going fine til I made a big mistake overtaking Gaz.
Totally missed my braking point at turn 3 and went straight into
the gravel (fortunately I didn't collect gaz on the way). By the
time I scrambled out, gaz and macca were long gone and I was
just behind castrol in something like 7th or 8th place I think.
Got past castrol into some clean air and put some decent laps
in.
By the time all the pitstops were done I was in 2nd, just 10 sec
behind gun, which was a bit of a surprise. And I was on fresh
option tyres too. All of which led to my second mistake - I
turned up the engine to try to catch gun. After a couple of
quick laps reducing the gap and getting a fastest lap time
(surely I get a bonus point for that ;)), common sense kicked
in and I realised that:
1. I'd probably run out of laps before I caught him
2. I'd definitely run out of fuel!
3. After an unlucky quali and and a clumsy trip to the gravel,
2nd really wasn't that bad
So, the last part of my race was spent trying to conserve fuel
while keeping first livolay and then gazza outside the DRS zone.
Just about managed it!

I must say, that was a great start to the season.
I qualified 7th after being nailed into the wall by someone and
destroyed my car so I could not take any more part and had to
sit and watch as the lap times got quicker, no one answered when
i asked "who hit me" thanks for that. After reviewing the video
it looks like a Mercedes?
Got a reasonable start, Livo went past me before the first
corner so i sat on him around the first lap, was right on him
but had no where to pass as all the cars were bunched in front,
got past kiwi and castrol then gave macca a few love taps on the
way into the second last corner must of unsettled him as i took
that position on the straight, not easy to pass as it was a drag
race down to the first corner, supanash nearly took me out when
he shot past onto the gravel into the second corner and he was
flying, good job avoiding us nash, went into he pits and came
out in 7th behind gun then as the cars in front pitted i found
myself 2nd behind gun, pitted again and came out behind livo
then nash slotted into second, caught livo and he let me
through, good sportsmanship livo, so then i tried to hunt down
supanash, had plenty of fuel so i gave to the old girl, chopped
a bit of time off but ran out of laps, finished 3rd pretty happy
with that result after a nightmare qually.
Driver of the day would have to be Ugotgun, just too fast!

I was in a Mercedes but I'm sure I didn't hit anyone. Unless I
somehow hit you when I destroyed my own car. I didn't think
anyone was close by though. Sorry if it was me.

i set my alarm for 8am turned my ps3 straight on and signed in
and fell back to sleep on accident
ill be up for tomorrows 3-lap sprint though

Hi! gazza my internet conection was realy crap but when your car
broke it wasn't iven appearing on my scream so if i hited you i
m sorry and hope you understend that i did not iven see you. ???
Qualy secssion: did my first try, there was cars jumping all
over the place so could not do a good lap, went back to the pit
put new set of tyres and on the way out of the garage my car
hited a ferrari that was staked on the wall and broke my front
wing, so went aroud and pited again put new set of optimun tyres
and give another go... but on the way out of the garage again my
car hited other car staked on the pit lane hahahahaha.... so
went aroud again back to pit, put my last set of optimuns pray
before go out with 3 minutes for the and of the secssion coud
get low 1.19 bit of lucky on that.
Race: had a good start but my internet conection was crap
and after pit lost the conection. that was the end for me. I've
ring vodafone and got it sorted. they say that becouse i m a
rural area my conection will not be very fast but also wil not
drop anymore. Congratulations to Gun for the win. Well done!

My set up that I tested in TT didn't transfer to race pace.
Couldn't get in a good qualy lap so started 7th. Really
struggled through out the race & with 4 laps 2 go got hit with 2
cnr cutting pens in the same lap which I thought were harsh,
damn stewards! Thankfully only cost me 1 place to Macca. Special
mentions to Gazza, Supernash & anyone else that took me cleanly
during the race. Hit Gazza accidentally but we were both
fighting each other so hard & close that contact was bound to
happen. I asked Gazza where he was because I didn't know what to
do but each time i asked if he could hear me - no response.
Eventually let him by later in the race. 6th place finish a race
I would rather forget & now looking forward to Malaysia.

Well I really enjoyed both qualifying and the race. After
qualifying 3rd was quite disappointed with my 5th place in the
race. But I guess the main thing is I bagged some points which
is good. My race was pretty uneventful, when other drivers
cought me I had no answer and the likes of Nash and castrol went
past like I was going backwards!
Hopefully I can find some pace at the next track and perhaps
kuala lumpa may suit the characteristics of the Ferrari better
haha
