       Race engineer and online objectives

       I noticed a couple of features have made it from career mode to
       online in the 2011 game.
       1. Race engineer in online races. And this year he seems to
       actually provide useful information. Like telling you that the
       car in front is on primes when you're on options. Or that the
       car behind is catching you (so that you don't need to keep
       looking at the timings). In our league I don't expect it will be
       long before the Ferrari engineer is on to Macca, saying "Castrol
       is faster than you. Have you understood?" ;-)
       2. Online objectives. This year you'll have an objective in
       online races. So if you're a lower ranked driver (or in a lower
       ranked car when the performance is set to 2011 levels) you won't
       need to win the race to gain XP/ranking. Similarly if you are a
       high ranked driver in one of the top cars you'll be expected to
       win. They've done this to encourage the high ranked drivers to
       use the weaker cars when it's on 2011 performance.
       One other thing I read was that online races will start when
       most people are ready, even if the host isn't. We've all been in
       a public lobby where everyone apart from the race host has
       clicked the start button. I never know if they've gone off
       somewhere and forgotten or are just being deliberately annoying.
       In 2011 the race will start when most people are ready (not sure
       what percentage).

       I like that online objectives idea. I threw the idea out there
       that you shouldn't just gain rank because of the amount of times
       you play. When I go into a strange lobby, I want to know if the
       drivers are clean racers or not, so drivers with a higher
       ranking should be the cleanest ones..and those who drive like
       dicks should lose ranking.
