       2011 Tyre Wear

       I found some information on tyre wear in the 2011 game.
       For race distances upto 50% the wear rate will be doubled. This
       means that in a 50% race you'll have to stop the same number of
       times as you would in a full 100% race (3 or 4 times), but for
       shorter distances you won't need to stop as often. In a 20% race
       you'll probably need just 1 stop. 30% and 40% might be 2-3
       stops.
       This is different from 2010, where it was 1 stop regardless of
       distance.

       Do you have to choose your tyres each time you pit or do you pre
       select before the race start?

       I'm not sure about that. I'm guessing you'll pre select a
       strategy but then be able to change it during the race if you
       want, but I haven't seen any details on that.
