No Cam, did'nt do a demo for 2011..........lol if they had, i
would'nt have got it.

hahaha good call, ive still really enjoyed the game but and have
had some good times. only online tho i think i did career at
melb on 50% havent done one since haha, boring

Well, after creating a usa account, I downloaded the demo..
The saying goes, its a demo, not representative of the actual
finished game.
Had a quick blast on it..did the drivers test day at yabbi dabbi
doo, easy.
Had a race (5) laps at one of macca's fav tracks (monza), seems
like you cant change your setup after qually..(only quick setups
are available)
maybe this is why i had loads of understeer.....kerbs are fine,
unless you hit them flat out, then weeeeeee away you go.
If you go wide off the track(some players use this as an
advantage) then you hardly have any power, like driving through
mud.
Braking is better done early(not tried the fast down change) or
you will find yourself overshooting the corners.
sound: great
graphics: better than 2011
opinion after 1hr. looking good.

Thanks castrol...
I downloaded it tonight and had a go for a couple of hour. First
impressions are very positive. Graphics sound and ai have all
improved I think. The race start is great fun, too much revs =
wheelspin and too less = major bog down and you get swamped from
the cars behind.
The handling has changed massively. Now you need to enter the
corner at the correct speed or face the dreaded demon called
understeer :P
I love the feel and sound of the car through the slow corners
the best, feels much better than 2011 if you ask me. Can't wait
to start tinkering with car setups and try out the fuel sim and
tire wear options in the full game.
Think it has great potential at this stage, we shall soon see.
What does everybody else think?

I've had a quick go on the demo this evening, and like it so
far. Cornering is difficult, as it should be. It was far too
easy to slam the wheel on full lock and zoom round the corners
in 2011. Try that in the 2012 demo and you go sailing off the
track ;D
Hitting the kerbs too hard unsettles the car, which is good. And
if you leave the circuit you get slowed down. Maybe not
realistic, but it's a simple way to stop people from taking
advantage of the run off areas.
The car does feel a bit too twitchy in a straight line, but I
could probably get used to that, or mess around with wheel
settings a bit.
I assume they've made some tweaks between the demo and the final
release, so it'll be interesting to see if the handling has
changed much.
