One lap qualifying

Interesting new feature in F1 2012 is a one lap quali session.
No out-lap or in-lap. You just appear on the track (a bit like
you can in offline mode) and do one lap. All other cars are
doing their one lap quali at the same time but are ghosted on
your screen.
For league racing I think I'd still prefer the 15 min session,
but for public lobbies I can see this being a popular option.
Allows you to get to the race a lot quicker, while still having
a sensible grid with the better drivers towards the front. And
there would be a lot of pressure to put in a clean lap when you
only get one go.

That sounds interesting but yeah I would still prefer the 15min
session so I can find a setup ;D

I definitely like the idea for shorter races in the public
lobbies. I'd prefer it if they got rid of the other cars
altogether instead of ghosting them though. I always find that
really distracting!
