Its not the game cam....just cant race at 8am( you dont wanna be
in my house, when the wifey is getting ready for work) lol.

The connection issues are going to be my main concern when
starting a new season. To many times have I been disconnected &
if it doesn't improve with the new game I think I will call it
quits.
If however the issue is rare then I would like to see bonus
points awarded based on qualifying instead of fastest laps. It
sucks having no points to show for your effort especially if you
managed to qualify at the front end.
I propose 5pts =1st, 3pts = 2nd & 1pt = 3rd or only getting
points if disconnected; 10pts =1st, 8pts =2nd, 6pts =3rd, 5pts
=4th to 1pt =8th.
Discuss your thoughts. :)

I asked that question when we introduced a point for fastest lap
and everyone said by qualifying 1st is reward enough.
I hope your connection worries dissapear Livo, would be a shame
not seeing you on the grid. ;D

moving to prl we have a guy who is willing to use his connection
to host. he lives right near the GPO and get a rediculous
connection something like 30mps+ downlaod and 5mps+ upload
another guy who hosts our sunday races has a similar connection
and i have never been booted and lag is rare with a full grid.
so hopefully with a possible decent host lag and d/c's will be
less frequent, no offence to your connection gazz! 8) 8) ;D

Yes & at the time I thought that was best too. However with
DC's, lag & stupid penalties I have changed my opinion.
Was curious if anyone else had too?

I'm with ya Livo, only one thing, some are just plain faster
than others. and the same drivers are qualifying up the top, so
they will get more points, how do you justify that?

My opinion stands in that I think there should be NO points for
qualifying like the real F1 season is. I can live with a point
for pole but anything more is over the top I feel.

I was actually thinking something like this myself. i.e. award
points based on quali position if you get disconnected. Maybe
the rule should be that if you get disconnected early in the
race you get some points based on quali, and late in the race we
have the current rule which gives you something based on what
position you were running at the time.

Yeah I think the second option I gave is much better. Like Gazza
said it would just further spread the field re 1st option.
I mean you still practice through the week & do the 15 min qualy
plus the start & so if you get DC & had qualified 1st you should
be rewarded with something & not lose a massive 25 points to the
winner.
I think the point structure is fair but we can always change it.
