mmm very annoying.
for some reason of late when i race you guys i get d/c. now i
dont know why and i doubt its my connection cause i race in
another league on sundays with a full grid of 16 for 2 seasons
and out of 25 races i have been d/c once only once.
i dont know what it is with this league but it hardly seems
worth the 15 minute drive to my mums from home just to be d/c
every week. anyway ill try my luck next week and re evalute

maybe because it's at ur mum's place?
q: 4th. Only 1.6 off the pace ;D
r: 4th. Started 3rd & well yeah no match 4 the leaders. Drew got
me in the end for 3rd after putting me under maintained
pressure. He must of started on primes because he was definitely
quicker than me. Broke my wing second last lap. To be honest a
bit over racing at the moment. Will probably see an even worse
performance from me at Korea(my worst track).

A quick question before my report. I thought the racing line was
an allowed assist? I don't normally use it, but the circuits
from Singapore - Abu Dhabi are all pretty new to me, so I was
kind of depending on it being there! I'd never have got 2nd
place in Singapore last week without it. Was around a second
slower today without the racing line unfortunately. If it's
going to be completely no assists for the rest of the season
that's fine, but I just wish I'd known before the race. :-[
Q - 3
Did a bit of practice at the weekend and was down in the 1.26s,
but only managed a 1.27.7 I think. I guess I was more reliant on
the racing line than I should be! Especially at turn 1 and the
Spoon curve for some reason.
R - 2
Just drove a steady race and got round in 2nd place without any
dramas. Had drew close behind me at one stage, but I think he
was out of sequence with his stops.
I had to disconnect when we finished to deal with something at
home, in case you thought I was annoyed about something. I had a
very quiet race, so nothing for me to be annoyed about!

Q 7: On primes, I was on a better lap but stuffed it.
R last: I made the mistake of trying to two stop. Didn't know
what tyre wear was like but pushed the first stint to 10 laps,
if I hadn't qualified on them it might have just worked. Made
too many mistakes on the final lap as the tyres were long gone.
Got a drive through for corner cutting and came out behind
castrol. Got alongside on back straight an we both went into
130R, some contact and I ended up in the wall. So had to go back
to a three stop as I lost my wing (This was the lap you pitted
Moss when I was in the pits). Then got another drive through.

What a race ............ I'm starting to like this track more
and more each time I drive it after not being a huge fan of it
in 2010.
Q: DNQ -> engine failure Well 2nd week in a row in quali with a
retirement in quali....I downshifted too quick entering the
hairpin and blew up the engine :\
R: 3rd; P8-P8-O5-O6 Good launch off the line and hugged the
inside thru T1 & 2 and was able to stay ahead of Angry through
the esses. I tried to dive underneath Gazza on the dunlop curves
but couldn't make it stick and had to go onto the grass before
Degner 1. So I just hung back a bit and didn't try anything too
risky but got the spot when Gazza missed his braking point in
the Degner and hit the gravel on L3. I went to battle with my
teammate for the rest of the first stint and I was quicker but
couldn't make anything stick...even had a couple of bits of
contact which you can see in my videos. I briefly took the lead
when all the leaders pit for options, but by L8 all the battling
I had done really ate up my tires bad and I then realized my
2-stopper idea was gonna be toast. On L8 I was getting really
slippery after the hairpin and Moussa just got underneath me at
Spoon and I let him through with no dramas. Pitted that lap for
new primes.
Now that I had reverted to the 3-stopper I really kind of went
hard in this stint....Macca JUST nipped me on the cold tires but
I was gonna go balls out from here anyway. We caught Dale rather
quickly and the 3 of us fought through the esses (start of 2nd
vid) and it got a little dicey but we all made it out alive. I
was able to overtake Macca under DRS at the start of L12 and was
able to breathe for a little bit until I saw supanash exiting
the pits down the straightaway I remember we Had a VERY close
encounter at the start of the Dunlop curve when I tried the same
move I tried on Gazza on L1 to dive underneath and I washed up
wide and almost took the both of us out on the gravel but
luckily I didn't! (Supanash would not have been very happy with
me as we weren't even technically battling for position). I
squeaked my stint out for another 8 laps making a couple of
errors until I knew I was able to finish the race on the
options.
I pitted on L16 with Macca not so far behind and I noticed he
came in right behind me as well and I was just hoping and
praying that I didn't botch up his pitstop with the stupid bug
the game has....but found out afterwards all was well (same
can't be said for McLaren according to Moss :P), I exited as
Livo was coming down the front straightaway and within 2 laps I
was on his tail and we battled like hell for the next 3 laps or
so but again I was on tire management since it was gonna be
tight with the options. He pitted on L21 but I stayed out an
extra lap as my tires still had some life and I wanted to really
set a flyer but wound up making a critical error in S1 just
missing all the apexes for the esses and my joystick almost
getting stuck in the dunlop curve (0:52 of 3rd video) ::) .
Anyway dove into the pits that lap..
Wasn't enough to get the position unfortunately as we both
entered T1 together and I had a little slide to let him past.
Tried another DRS maneuver on him the next lap, couldn't do it.
Then L23 livolay takes to the gravel at the end of the degners
and I grabbed the position. Couldn't really shake him off my
tail for the next lap and a half (even though the end of that
lap gave me a fastest lap of the race) but he must've made a
mistake cus on L25 I couldn't see him behind me anymore. From
there I just coasted to the line really not making any huge
risks just happy to grab another podium!
As you guys watch my videos just take note to the fact that I
had to back out of my DRS passes at T1 a lot due to the lag
issues and if I wasn't more than a nose ahead I didn't complete
the pass because I know on your guys' screen I am not even up
alongside yet so to save being smacked in the side, I backed out
of it.
DOTD for me I guess would be Moss with another great
drive...finishing 30 seconds behind with all the battling and
mistakes I made proved that I was really on pace with him this
race and had I put in a good qualifying lap, this race could've
been a lot different.
Vids (on my new phone!): enjoy!
