Q: 9th; managed to mess up every flying lap I did, so put on the
primes and did a 1:19.2, just a hair behind Castrol and Cam
R: 3rd P10-O8-O9 had an alright launch off the line and gave
plenty of space at T1 with everyone...I had slid by Castrol
also. I fought with Cam for a couple of laps....and noticed up
ahead Gaz got all messed up going down the front straightaway.
Cam tried going down his inside into T1 and the two touched and
sent Cam off into the grass and he had no choice but to cut T1
and the next lap he went in for his drive thru. I chased Gaz for
another lap and we both overtook Angry who was off at the 2nd
lesmo in the sand.
I had Dale behind me for a huge part of the race just lurking
there 1-3 sec behind. Moss exited the pits right behind us on
his first stop....I was gonna easily let him go by on the DRS
straight but I heard him upset over the mic going through Ascari
that lap? :-\ I guess he had received a drive-thru cus he was
in the pit lane right at the end of the lap and I had some
breathing space.
I pitted for options on L10, regained some track position
quickly through pit stop cycling (I think everyone was on
different strategies)...I found myself up in 2nd at the end of
my 2nd stint, and when I exited the pits with my 2nd set of
options on L18, Moss was closing hella fast on me...and I
thought for sure that I was running out of chances to stay ahead
of him, but a few laps to the end he dipped into the pit
lane...so I breathed a sigh of relief and just brought the car
home to a solid 3rd place.
Now I did something different with my video, recording it from
my laptop webcam...now just gotta find a way to get it from
there to upload it somehow...trying to get a video editor
program that I can just do quick race edits like Stubbs does.
Luckily nothing interesting really happened this race, but I
would like to show Gaz what happened at the beginning with him
and Macca.
DOTD: Gaz; I have to hand it to Gaz again because he was keeping
it up there and doing a great job at the start of the race, I'm
guessing the pit strategy hurt you man cus I could've swore that
you were running a solid quick pace...so hats off to you again.
Thanks for the racing guys, see ya around!

Q - 3
Decent lap. I was 0.3 up on the pole time at the end of sector
2, but somehow finished 0.1 off. No idea how I could lose so
much time there. Maybe I wasn't aggressive enough on cutting the
Ascari chicane!!
R - 2
Got away cleanly behind Moss and Livo. I thought I'd do a bit of
fuel saving early on, and all was going ok until Moss started
lagging badly on lap 4. The next 2 laps I had to slow down
because I just didn't know where his car was. He pitted on lap 6
leaving me quite a way behind Livo. I caught up a bit and when
we both pitted on lap 7 I was 2 or 3 sec down. I got held in the
pits though and must have lost a few seconds as I seemed to be a
long way down by the time I left the pits. Moss has disappeared
down the field so I guessed he must have had some drama.
Race was ok after that, I was able to stay with Livo and passed
him sometime after half distance to take the lead. He slowed
quite a lot so I wondered if he was lagging too, but found out
later he had some problem with his headphones!
I thought I'd have a chance of the win, but eventually I
realised Livo wasn't making a 2nd stop, so just cruised round to
take 2nd. Now that I think about it, I have a feeling exactly
the same thing happened last season. I should have remembered
that Livo 1 stopped then as well!

Unlucky Cam that's pretty wierd. Sorry to hear that Moss didn't
get a clean race too.
Q:2nd. Still yet to get a pole position. Just .1 off &
marginally pipping Nash. Congrats to Moss yet again showing your
quickest! ;)
R:1st. Went side by side with Moss into T1. I tried to leave as
much room on the inside through the exit. Supanash close behind,
great start guys! Managed to stay with Moss & for some reason I
seemed to have more pace, especially on the straights.
Overtook Moss end of lap 2? For a few laps kept him behind &
then I'm not sure what happened with him after. Supanash said he
was lagging.
Made my only pit stop on lap 11. Still in the lead with Supanash
4 seconds behind when disaster struck. I got static through my
headphones & it massively affected my pace, fuel & tyre
management as I was struggling to find the traction. I decided
to let Supanash past & I turned my headphones off then on again
& hey presto it worked.
Luckily I was on the right strategy & the 5ish seconds that I
lost wasn't enough to hurt my chances of the win.
Tyres were completely red on the last lap but still managed a
1.22 ish iirc & won by a comfortable 12seconds i think.
Shame that Moss had problems as I would of liked to of seen were
I was compared to him for strategy & race pace.

I was getting that all the time at Spain when I was practicing
for our league race. Fortunately it didn't happen in the race
itself, as it's pretty distracting! Never seen it at any other
circuit.

Q 5th: on options, was faster than I thought I was, so happy
with that
R 6th: Went for a one stopper starting on options. I made a
mistake early running wide into the gravel which put me to the
back of the pack, made my way up a bit and ended up with drew
for most of this stint, he was on primes and my wearing options
could keep up with him. After Drew pitted on lap 10 I spun at
the second chicane as my tyres were getting pretty bad. Managed
to get another lap out though pitting lap 11. I came out behind
Gaz who I figured was doing a 2 stopper and tried to catch him
but just couldn't get hooked into the slipstream. I think I spun
at t2 at some point during this stint.
Moss was coming up behind me and on the main straight we had
this happen
HTML http://s1088.photobucket.com/albums/i332/Angryangryman/?action=view¤t=F14fMonza_Moss.mp4
He ended up getting ahead 10s or so then pitted and passed me
again. On the final lap I was struggling for traction and Gaz
managed to get past, though on the back straight I put the fuel
up and flew past him but as I went past my fuel ran out and he
got me on the home straight.
If I hadn't made as many mistakes the one stopper probably would
have worked better.
