That's all well and good if the SC is deployed for legitimate
reasons, but when you have been working hard for a lot of laps
to get into a good position on the track and someone destroys
their car on purpose, then all your hard work is undone and the
advantage you have gained is gone. To me that is very unfair.
The SC has been an issue for me through out S1 and S2, eg. I was
leading you Drew at Monaco in S1, was 1 lap short of the half
way point and the SC comes out, lags, as you seen Nash go over
the top of it, and pops up in front of me and DSQ's me, hence no
points. How do you see that as being fair? I went from 1st to
being DSQ. The same as Moss last race.
I'me happy to leave it in as long as it comes out for the right
reasons. Maybe we have a vote? Still doesn't solve the issues of
lag!

Q=9th R=6th
Qualified 9th on primes as I new I would be nowhere near the
front anyway.
Start was quite good and could have passed Castrol who was in
front of me but I backed out of it and had to avoid my teammate
going sideways down the start straight as I didnt want to be
involved in a pile up.
First stint I spent following a trio of cars with the car in
front of me being angryman who was following Gaz and gaz was
following someone else - dont know who. I went to make a pass on
angryman and went up the inside of Gaz in the process and spun
him (very sorry about that mate. Totally my fault as I was
concentrating more on angry than you up front). So I waited for
Gaz to get back on the road and followed him round to serve my
drive through on the next lap. Cant complain as I fully deserved
it haha.
Had a good race with with the mid pack boys particularly Gaz and
later on Castrol.
Last few laps were a struggle as I was trying to hold on to my
nice red prime tires and I new Castrol was going to eat me alive
once he got on my gearbox. Good job young fella ::)
Really enjoyed Pauls rant at the end there.... bloody classic
It's like he was in a race all of his own. Must be put down to
lag surely?
PS I would love a bit of help with set-up if somebody would be
so kind. I don't have the time to put in to get a decent set-up
at the mo. If nobody wants to share thats cool too. My email
is camandness@xtra.co.nz
See you next week.

Quali(eat shit drew :o :o ;D) - 3rd
was very happy for my pace as i was re-igniting my brain with
info after every corner and i was getting faster and faster, i
did zilch prac for this one. i feel i could have snubbed pole at
the death but i aught beno early on my lap and he was on his own
hot lap so i pulled out and retired because i didnt want to ruin
2 hot laps by trying a stoopid pass. the top 4 times were very
fast. i bummed 2 laps thru that silly shicane haha oh well.
Race 2nd
i got an ok start and kept pace with the front row of moss and
nashy but livo got a better start and he was bumping with nashy,
who then went a little wide and bumped me so i backed out and
handed 3rd to livo, then nash and livo tangle and i head up into
2nd with beno right beside me bumpy me all the way to t2. he
then totally misses his braking point allowing me an easy free
pass to T3.
from then moss made a nice gap of 3/4/5 secs and i kept a nice 6
sec gap to beno who did well holding the field of in 3rd. after
the 1st pit stops the paul stuff started i do feel sorry for the
lad but fuck me watch the video and ill let it speak rather then
me, one thing i did notice tho was everytime i seen debris on
the track i knew he was coming up ahead.
with all that happening moss held a nice gap to me and i was
maintaining a lead to nashy who had worked his wasy back up, i
was really fast thru the mid part of the race setting f/laps on
mix 1 and kept breaking away from nashy. untill i smashed my
wing up pauls arse hole my 10 sec gap was back to zilch to
nashy. he freakishly lagged passed me in the pits haha check vid
then we had a good battle for 4/5 laps untill i broke away a bit
then got way out of shape thru sector 2 i hope u didnt think
that was the lag part nash check vid.
i still think you guys need to test n try others connections,
because lag is a major factor in this league it plays part every
week

Q - 2
Was a bit disappointed with my best time as I had gone a few
tenths quicker when practicing at the weekend. Even more
disappointed when I saw I was only 0.006 off pole
R - 3
Bit of a laggy race for me. Right from the start it wasn't
right. Thought I'd got ahead of Moss on the drag down to turn 1
when I see him pop up on my left and a bit ahead of me. Shocked
me a bit and I locked up into turn 1. On the run down to T2 I
had a quick look behind and saw a couple of cars behind me, but
not too close, so I was surprised when I got hit and spun out.
Seems like it was Livo. Sorry if it was my fault Livo, but on my
screen there was no-one close enough behind me to hit me. It put
me back in 9th or 10th and right out of contention for the race
win. Decided to pit early after only 3 laps to get into clear
air and switched to a 4 stopper. I did 3 laps on the options and
then 4 stints on primes, each of 8 laps. It meant that I was
never running on heavily worn tyres, so was able to lap quite
consistently.
Like last week I had to burn a lot of fuel to get back up the
field, but was right up with cam at the end. I had -1 on the
fuel gauge at that point, so had to save a bit. We passed each
other a couple of times under DRS, and I then decided my best
plan was to try and stay with him while saving fuel, and go for
the overtake at the start of the final lap, so that he wouldn't
have much of a chance to get back past. Was going ok until I
started getting lag from cam. I 'overtook' him a couple of
times, only to have him pop back in front of me. Then he lagged
just before the fast left hander at the end of sector 1. I cut
the corner to avoid him and got an illegal overtake penalty. The
most annoying thing about it was that I didn't really overtake
him, as he once again appeared in front of me. With that penalty
I knew I couldn't get 2nd place any more, so slowed down and
just made sure I finished more that 20 sec ahead of the fourth
placed driver, to cover the penalty.
I'd really like to see the race from Paul's point of view. He's
obviously on a different planet from me!

sorry bout that nash on my screen you after the 3 laps we were
passing each other you fall back a few secs but that must have
been you battling with me but without me if u know what i mean

That's right. Your car would go really slow into the braking
zones, so I'd either have to slam on the brakes, or 'overtake'
you. So while you were building a nice gap I was busy battling
with your double ::)

Q: 5th; like Cam I had zero practice for this race as I was 95%
sure I was not going to be racing but turns out I'm not moving
yet :-\ ... so I spent the first part of quali on a heavy tank
of fuel and just lapping over and over to find where my braking
points were again and eventually smashed my wing, so that came
to an abrupt end. Put the options back on and went for my 1-lap
quali and put in a solid time of 15.0
R: 7th O4-P9-P9-P10-O2;one of the more action-packed races for
me in this league this season. Well, I had a great launch off
the line but when I was trying to come back right from my tire
spinoff on the start my joystick on the controller got stuck and
I spun right across the grid into Striker and broke his front
wing :'( ... I just stayed on the straightaway and waited for
him to come past hoping he wasn't injured but it turns out he
was and I felt completely awful as I seemed to skate away with
just a bent wing. I overtook an injured Livolay and an injured
Paul on the 1st lap also to propel myself up to 9th, and by L3 I
was stuck at the back of a train of about 5 cars, so I turned my
fuel down and just waited for any overtaking opportunity...went
for one on Dale (Angryman) under DRS but had to back out of it.
I thought I would get a jump on some of the cars I knew I was
faster than up ahead by pitting one lap early for Primes (L4).
I came out of the pits way at the back, so I turned up my fuel
for a bit to gain the advantage and I did wind up jumping ahead
of Castrol, Gaz, and Cam up to 6th. Angry and Beno both exited
the pits just ahead of me and I was rather impressed with Ben's
driving this week tbh..we raced very clean for 2 laps until I
passed him under the DRS into T1. I threw it away at the end of
L7 though when I spun out on the last left-hander before pit in
when I got stuck in the dust. I had to let Ben and Castrol past
and the next lap we were 3-wide into T1 with me just a slight
bit ahead on the inside but I had it in the back of my mind to
not actually try it because I know I'm probably not there on
Ben's screen so I saved the 3 of us but we went 3-wide into T2
also...Ben, Castrol, and myself slotted into position, with my
teammate not far behind. I had a bobble trying to go underneath
Ben after the chicane and I knew that Cam was on fresh options
behind me so I let him past to try and do battle with the duo up
ahead. I was on worn primes at this point as the battle had left
me pretty much worn out so I was worried about how the rest of
my tire strategy would be ... I pitted on L12 for a fresh set of
Primes.
I knew this stint would make or break my final one, so I turned
my fuel down for a bit to try and save the tire life and just be
smooth. I wound up catching up to Angry and Cam up ahead before
their stop and couldn't shake Castrol off behind me for the
entire 10 lap life of my primes. I tried like hell to keep out
til lap 23 but my tires were shit in S2 of L22 so I knew I had
to come in or risk losing it in a spin on my in lap. 4th place
was definitely in the books for me I thought because I knew I
had the pace I just needed to make the tires last.
Started what I thought was my final stint and again, Castrol was
never more than 2 sec behind me. I saw on L27 that my tires were
already quite tan, so I really started to worry. I had no choice
but to turn up the fuel because Castrol was right there and I
knew we were on the same strategy. Was frustrated to see him pit
on L29 because I knew that he was on options and I was trying to
find out where he came out on the minimap as I entered T2, and
saw he was overtaken by Macca so I had to rack my brain to
figure out what to do. I decided to stay out on the primes and
by L31 the car was undriveable...it couldn't be done. Macca
closed 3sec on me in that one lap and I just had to come change
the tires :( . Exited right as Moss lapped me so I didn't even
get to do 4 laps on those tires. Finished 7th place.
Strategy was awful this race, and I have no one to blame but
myself, but that's racing right!
DRIVER OF THE DAY: I have to hand it to Castrol ... really found
some awesome pace this race and never once stopped putting the
pressure on me after my spin in the 2nd stint. It was great
racing hard with you Rick, you are definitely finding pace, and
it's making it that much tougher to be "best of the rest" in the
midpack as far as I'm concerned. ;) Great stuff.

@Supanash
I was on your gearbox going into T1 & then got a good exit to
come up next to you on your right hand side into T2 but you just
came across me & put me in the wall. :'(
These things happen & I'm not angry or anything so don't worry.
Got DSQ due to codemasters bug. Wouldn't let me pit as I was
just stationary for half a minute staring at my pit crew ??? ::)
Meh. Was pleased to see that my qualy pace was competitive with
almost no practice.
