My controller disconnected for an instant in quali, accidentally
pressed quit when it re-calibrated :(
Hope it didn't cause my car to get in anybodys way on the back
straight.

Qauli - 4th wasnt 100% happy with the car i felt i could have
had a run at nashy
Race - LAST - 8th
no luck in this race i must have used it all up valencia, before
the race i was sitting here thinking shit i havent had an T1
incident in a league race for ages, and wammo me and livo get
together, i was hoping he would have seen me and went a little
bit wider into t1 but not to be, i recieved a drive thru, waited
for livo anyway.
so i did my penalty the next lap and went to work on catching
someone i was dead last, i was lapping awesomely really good
pace all race actually, on primes and options. i pitted on lap 6
for primes and did a solid stint till about lap 15 and the
dickhead engineer kept telling me rain was 5 mins away so i went
for the options on that pit thinking i might be back for inters
in 5 laps, cranked the engine set a good couple of laps got way
out of shape thru the fast esses and got my 2nd drive thru lol.
and then the rain starts and i thought im not coming into the
for a 4th or 5th time so i ran my options to the end, lol up
untill the last lap i was holding things together in 5th but all
went to custard and fell back to 8th haha.
bit bummed cause i was just as fast as the leader all race,
but silly mistakes cost me well done nash strik and drew~!

Q: 5th; was only .2sec off my PB so can't complain about that.
1:25.9 on options.
R: 3rd; Op6-Pr9-Op11had an awful launch off the line and thought
I was gonna be pushed to the outside at T1 and be gobbled up by
the field but instead I saw Livo bump Striker off the track and
I had to hang on around the outside so as not to get collected.
I got all messed up through the first complex but passed Macca
handily through Brooklands/Luffield and went to work on Beno
down through Maggotts/Becketts/Chapel and passed him in Stowe.
Gazza was next on my radar but in fact a couple of laps in, he
was beginning to gap me a bit and my tires were toast, and
Striker was right on my tail. I stayed out to my default first
pit stop though, mainly so that I can try to jump Gaz as he
pitted on L5...and I stayed out as rough as it was ... so I
pitted L6 from 3rd for primes.
Came out a few sec behind Castrol and Gazza shot by me at the
exit to pit lane also. On the next lap, the two came together at
T3 and I nabbed the spot from Gaz as he spun off. I caught
Castrol a few laps later and passed him down Hangar straight and
into Stowe. I was 10 sec behind Supanash at this point in 2nd,
and the gap was hanging pretty steadily until I made 2 stupid
mistakes at T3 bouncing off the curb 2x in 3 laps and sending
myself into a spin...Striker had taken advantage of the first
one to take 2nd spot from me and on the 2nd occurrence he had
pulled away a decent gap.
The engineer was tlaking about rain, so I thought I would try a
risky strategy and put options on for my last stint, as I can
try to make up a lot of track position before the rain fell. Put
Options on L15, and put in some respectable laps until I got
held up a bit by my teammate when he was on worn primes and I
finally got past him down the Hangar straight on his in lap. The
rain began falling on L19 but it really wasn't coming down much
which worried me. 20, 21, 22 go by and the track is still dry
meanwhile my tires are busted. I also noticed Striker stayed out
WAY LONG on his primes from the 2nd stint so I thought by now I
was screwed. On his in lap I took 5 seconds out of the gap and I
jumped him handily on his pit stop for inters. This was gonna be
close as I had Gazza 12-13sec behind me and my tires are fire
engine red with 3 laps to go.
The last 3 laps were crazy for me as the track FINALLY began to
get too wet for the slicks and my tires were worn to boot. I was
on extreme slo mo racing here and I saw Gazza was closing the
gap rather quickly. On the last lap, I noticed Striker was
catching both of us heaps...he passed Gazza into T3 and he was
coming for me next. I could not hang on to the car around
Luffield well enough and he got right up behind me on the old
pit straight, hung on through Stowe, Maggotts, Becketts, lost it
in Chapel and Striker slipped by and Gazza was chasing me down
Hangar and I thought he was gonna pass me into Stowe but I held
on and just eeked my way through Club and to the finish line.
What a crazy race that was. I was very impressed with my
performance and I had a great strategy battle with Gaz and some
great on-track action with Striker. Definitely didn't have any
frontrunning pace as usual, but to run 2nd for a great deal of
the race was definitely a morale booster.
As I said in the lobby I will not be here next week as I will be
away on vacation in North Carolina for a week so sorry I won't
be around. The week after is also iffy cus I am moving to a new
apartment and hopefully I can get myself all set up again in my
new place with internet, etc.
DRIVER OF THE DAY: Gaz :) :) :) :)

And my one video before my phone died ::) ::) ::) Really gotta
charge this the night before.........

What I don't like in this video is Beno shoving me and then
Striker out of the way, doesn't seem to care that there are
people spun out in the distance and just drives through it
hoping not to hit anyone...and fails.

Q - 1 (124.7 / Options)
Did a decent quali lap on my 2nd go. Few small mistakes but was
really pleased that it was enough to be on pole after struggling
from the 2nd row of the grid in Valencia
R - 1
Pole position paid off, as it meant I was clear going into T1
and avoided all the trouble. After that I had a very comfortable
race (apart from the last 2 laps). Just did enough to maintain a
gap to Gaz for the first stint. Wasn't sure where he'd
disappeared to after the first round of stops! Then I was able
to just cruise round really. Could have gone faster but didn't
think I needed to.
Had a small panic when I saw striker had stayed out on his 2nd
set of tyres and was ahead of me. His tyres gave up eventually
and I was able to regain the lead. If the rain had become
heavier when Striker was leading it would have been an
interesting finish. As it turned out, the rain stayed very light
almost to end. I wasn't sure whether to pit for inters for the
last couple of laps or not. In the end I stayed out and had a
tricky two laps, but I could see that drew behind me was doing
the same.
Silverstone is definitely a strong circuit for me. Would have
been interesting to see how things had gone if Moss and Livo had
manged to complete the race. I know it sounds stupid, but I've
played a lot of F1 games over the years, and I always like to
make sure I can put in a decent showing at my home race! In fact
I've now won at BOTH my home races - Great Britain and Australia
:D
If I had to pick a third home race it would be Japan - I lived
in Tokyo for 4 months. So maybe I'll have to wait til then for
my next win!

I hate you. ;)
Bloody quick if you ask me mate.
Thought my lap was going to be good enough. :(
I'm officially over this league, can't get a decent connection
when I have reasonable pace & vice versa >:(
