from drew's video u can tell that i was a tip ahead of nash but
from stubbs video it looks like nash was still ahead, im very
sorry nash it was unintentional, from my view and from what i
remember, going into turn one i was ahead in my view and i felt
like we touched. i would say it was 60% my fault than a racing
incident because i went a little wide there.

Q - 1
Quite a good lap on primes, just edging out Moss. Made a bit of
a mistake at the final section of tight bends, so I was a bit
surprised that it was good enough for pole.
R - 2
Got my usual bad start (I really need to sort that out), but
thought I was still side by side with Moss into turn 1. Thought
I left plenty of room on the inside but got some contact. That
pushed me over into Kiwi, which spun me out and I was dead last,
probably about 20sec behind the leader by the time I'd sorted my
car out, and with a bit of front wing damage.
Had a good race after that, with some close racing with cam,
livo, striker and macca at various stages. Made a few overtakes
with DRS and lapped at a pretty consistent pace, both on primes
and on the options at the end. Was surprised to be only 6 or 7
sec behind Moss when I got past striker into 2nd place towards
the end, but I'd used up a lot of fuel to get there, so I had to
take it easy at the end and was pleased to hang on for 2nd.
I'm pretty quick round Istanbul, so it's a shame that I wasn't
able to race for the win. 2nd is great after being last though.
In fact Malaysia - Turkey is a run of 3 circuits where I think
I'm pretty strong, so it's disappointing to have results of 4,
5, 2 for those races, after winning in Melbourne which I usually
don't get on with at all. Anyway, it's shaping up to be an
interesting season, and I'm surprised how getting rid of the
assists seems to have closed the field up. Quite good quali
times all the way down the grid I thought.
I had less problems with the downshift today but it still missed
a few times over the race, so I'll probably miss Monaco because
of that. I think I'd just end up causing a pile up otherwise.
I'll take the wheel apart this weekend to see if there's
anything I can do about it.

Even if you were ahead, it could only have been by a nose. I
couldn't see any part of your car on my screen. I went as wide
as I could to leave space and I believe you had plenty of room
to make it round the corner without contact, but these things
happen. No hard feelings. I'm most annoyed that I missed out on
what could have been a really good battle with you.
EDIT - OK, I've just seen the vids and it doesn't change my
opinion. I think you should have taken a tighter line through
turn 1 and avoided the collision.

Nash I never said that it wasn't my fault, it was kinda like
Hamilton/button in Malaysia when Hamilton had the inside line...
Maybe I could've brake earlier, but that would cause a mess
behind me, I had the inside line, and with massive fuel the car
understeers.
Q report: 2nd
With primes I knew I would suffer, the prime tires didn't work
for my setup, I was only quick with the options so I did one hot
lap then retired. My lap was ok losing 0.050 to Nash in sector 1
then I gained abit in sector 2 but was still 0.030 in sector 2,
my strongest sector was sector 3 but I made a big mistake and
lost traction turning into the last corner. So I just settled to
that lap time.
R report: 1st
I had a good launch off the line and managed to get side by side
with Nash in the first corner, we touched then I saw Nash losing
positions. Macca and drew went up to second a third, a few Laps
later I was way ahead in the lead, I had my revs on lean until
lap 12 when I pitted for another set of primes.
Having a good lead gave me enough to breath and relax with my
driving, after I pitted I turned my engine revs up for 3 laps
then turned it back down to lean, stricker and Nash were gaining
on me by almost a second a lap, on lap 20 my tires were going
off and Nash was consistently at 6 seconds behind me, so i
turned my revs up to standard to stay in pace, so I pitted on
lap 23 doing 1 extra lap on my primes and I lost a some time
that lap.
My last 6 laps were beautiful, I loved how the car performed
with the options, it was very stable and fast. Having my revs on
high I managed to do the fastest lap and increase my lead to
nash, I crossed the line with 2 laps to go with fuel, I guess I
didn't manage my fuel right, I could've had abit more pace. It
was a quiet race for me, and I wished that Nash was still there
to battle. Great race guys

Q=3rd R=4th
This race was the most enjoyable for me so far this season with
close battles throughout the field. I could never relax at any
stage for pretty much every lap. Was really inpressed with the
close times in qualifying too. Top eight within a second :o
Good stuff I wish all the races were like that. Any pointers you
fast guys can give to get some us closer to your pace would be
appreciated ;)
First few laps I battled with Drew and Beno but had to pit first
as my tires were toast. Came out around 8th or 9th i think on
primes. Car felt OK on the primes, well much better than my worn
options anyway.
The other good battle was between Stricker, Livo and myself in
the closing stages of the race with Livo coming out on top in
that one.... just. Thats what I really enjoy a good close and
fair battle without contact. What must be remembered is you need
two good drivers to go wheel to wheel, not one! So thank you
guys, good racing.
Was happy to outqualify and beat my teammate on one of his
stronger tracks. Drew would always wipe the floor with me round
this track in 2010. ;D
All in all was a good and fun race for me only down side was
missing the podium by less than a tenth haha.
Thanks guys.

LOL Cam, I wiped the floor with you in 2010 at this track the 2
or 3 times that you actually allowed us all to play it ;)
We'd just play Bahrain over and over again ::)
