Istanbul Gp update

Anyone practicing istanbul? Timetrial or online? Or down to
practice before the race?
I love Istanbul, yet not the best timetrial and I know I can
improve somewhere.

i think its livo's little tactic, he has said he cant match pace
thru the week and then race day is right on the pace,,, im onto
you pal haha

post race.
not doin enough online prac killed me, my mclaren TT setup did
not work at all in the Merc. 80% of the time 7th wasnt even
reaching the green light on the straight, doh! i changed my
setup twice in qauli and once before the race. didnt feel good
at all.
all in all was happy to finish 3rd fastest overall (fastest lap
times)
also some of the lag i coped. if i had of got passed this early
on when nash was behind me may have been higher up the field, i
got 3/4/5 laps of this

DOTD - livo from 9th to 3rd is a good feat for someone lacking
pace ::) lol

I feel your pain! I had the same problem last season. I don't
think the Merc is necessarily a bad car, it's just quite
different from the others, so to get the best out of it you need
to work on setups in online sessions, and I never had time for
that. I found that it was fine in quali but under fuel load it
was a different story. This season I'm still practicing in TT
and not having as many problems transferring the setup to the
FI. It's a bit crappy in slow corners but pretty much ok
otherwise.
They really should let you practice with the online cars in
offline mode. I just don't have time to set up loads of online
sessions to tweak setup. Or, even more radical, make the cars
equal!!
btw, the Merc was a nightmare under full fuel at Monaco with my
TT setup, so you might want to think about getting some online
practice for that one.

LOL ;D I was serious when I said I didn't have the pace
compared to Moss & also you. Your TT PB was 2 tenths off Moss's
& I seriously couldn't get close. Not a tactic LOL.
I'm lucky to be leading by a point as I consider you, nash &
moss slightly quicker than me in general. Striker can certainly
push himself up there as his TT & qualy times suggest.
Bring on Spain indeed :D
