One more thing that looks like it will make it:
- Having some time to give back places if you've gained them by
cutting a corner or whatever. Was meant to be in the 2011 game,
but got pulled out
On the whole it looks like the are just fixing up some stuff,
and putting in some things that they had hoped to get in 2011.
I'm actually quite happy with that.

I agree with you there Nash. Codies need to get the basics all
working as they should before adding more and more bling and in
turn creating more and more problems.
Looking forward to this coming out.

I've seen a few videos from gamescom, where the 2012 game is
available to play, and read some comments from people who have
tried it. I'm starting to feel quite positive about it. From
what I can tell:
- tyre management is really important and affected by driving
style a lot more than in 2011
- kerbs are a lot more punishing. You could pretty much ignore
them in 2011
- likewise, running a couple of wheels over the grass/astroturf
can cause handling difficulties
- if you leave the circuit you get slowed down. Maybe not very
realistic, but it's better than allowing people to design their
own race track
- braking looks more difficult and you have to downshift a lot
slower
- going off the racing line means that you will lose a lot of
grip
I like the sound of all of that! And it seems that these changes
have led to more realistic lap times.

He runs wide at T1 and has to fight to keep control. Then locks
up into T2. Then runs across the grass at T3 and spins out. I
reckon you'd get away with the same driving in 2011 without any
problems at all.

Exactly where it should be... at the front of the car ;)
If you look closely, you can see the nose changes from around
the point of the radio antenna. It's not a great quality
recording, so it's not that easy to see.
And anyway, that wasn't the reason I posted the vid!!
