UNISEX HAUTE COUTURE

Hello, I am a Rad Hourani fan.
Was just wondering if I am the only one hihi.
I think what he does is pure art sculpture and is really a new
development within the fashion industry.
He is working on a movie, a biography which is not related to
fashion.
Look at the movie, this guy is very inspiring, at least I think.

RAD is seriously a big talent for the unisex approach... he also
says that unisex will be the future... in a discussion round
from amsterdam fashion week he states that unisex will be the
overall style for all kinds of targets, what do you think??

I really don't know with this style, to me it is way too
sculpture. It always look like if you can not even sit or walk
normal in his clothes.
And I don't even wanna think about that unisex will be the
future.

well I think he makes an avatar out of a human being...he leaves
behind gender roles and when wearing his designs you feel very
protected...

SOOO AGREE WITH HIS POINT OF VIEWWW !!!
Femininity and Masculinity is something that doesnt exist... we
made those things up. The world is too much focused on that
distinction... fashion is also something where the distinction
between the sexes is too big, but at the same time also a very
good stage to let the world know that you can play with that.
And the movie is fun ! I really like fashion movies and docu's
on designers, I also make short films myself. Like the style of
this one, really fits him I think.

Even though it does not necessarily would describe my personal
style, I still can honestly ENJOY designers but also people with
this really strong point of view in sense of style. I think
personal style is not something you create, you just ARE what
you wear. I personally love these strong silhouettes and
uniqueness but most of all timelessness of this style.

I think unisex feeling also has to do with the avatar
development in the digital world.. suddenly we all became
something in between two genders in the internet and the digital
feeling really made a big impact onto the designers work. for
example c. horyn even stated in one of her articles that
designing changed from 3d into 2d...
I like unisex because you dont get judged by any gender but you
are just a human like everybody else.. Rad Hourani is making
unisex haute couture collections and I love that he puts it into
a new sculpture context.
