Bad quality of ...?

I recently bought a cashmere sweater by Marc Jacobs and the
quality is so disappointing... Wore it maybe 5 times and one
seam ripped completely... I contacted the customer service and
they expected me to send the sweater back to the US...but I had
to pay the shipping costs by myself. Is this seriously all after
paying 380 euros for it?!
I attached a picture of the sweater...

I had the same issue with THEYSKENS THEORY, shirt just felt
apart....it was from one of first collections from Olivier...but
they asked me to pay for the shipment myself...well if a service
is so not efficient then I also donīt send it back... I let it
fix by a tailor and I payed less then shipping it to the US...
but since then I never bought from him anymore...

Yo,
I bought a few months ago a long black cardigan made from wool.
After one time seriously one time wearing the cardigan was
complety pilled.
The designer is Cédric Jacquemyn a upcoming designer.
After emailing him about the situation he was rude and didn't
want to help me out.
A new kid in the field and already bad service, with maybe one
of your first customers.

Hey AMS!!
oh I know these experiences too well... for me bad service is
really the worst when you just had the experience to buy an item
and then you see how customer unfriendly some brands can be...
most of the times I donīt buy the brand anymore...

Is that Cedric J, also not doing something with Weekday?
Did not even know that he was upcoming designer I thought
already out there, I never get then the collaboration with such
a commercial company especially not for the clothes he made.

I think a collaboration can be a help for young designers,
british talents are used to collaborate with firms like topshop
and afterwards they still grow and get better. not every
collaboration with a commercial partner is immediately negative.
but for example collaborations with target are for me nothing
worth except making money. target really does "cheap versions"
of a designer item whereas topshop does better quality and more
individuals designs...

Off course it can be a help for young designers, but it is more
the point that if they do this they attract what I think not
even their own target. So in this case with the Cedric J example
I mean he is not that known yet, I think he started somewhere in
2012. So I think that he doesn't even know what his "real"
customers are. So what happens now is that he is first known
with the mass I mean weekday is really attracting the mass. So
yeah it is helpful but then again that really depends on which
market your heading for.

indeed it depends on the market. such niche designer would first
need to target his real customers before heading towards a
mass... often I just see that young designers are not able to
make a good decision with offers like weekday. I am sure he was
ver happy to have weekday on board but then he had at least to
think of a good service... since word of mouth is a strong
communication between customers

Yeah exactly that is the second part yeah. Im sure they don't
have a good guidance with doing that. Often they are just "only"
designers so He can you blame them ;). But yeah from my own
perspective if I see a collection hanging from Yamamoto at
weekday I would think twice. Especially when the quality is
less, I mean that is the whole thing about designer pieces the
quality.
