Any slope soaring folks in the area?

After having the great fortune of spending several days sloping
with the highly talented guys in Port Elizabeth South Africa
last spring I've come back to the area really longing to find
some good slope sites as well as flying companions.
I'm building a Coroplast Mig-7 right now and plan to build a Le
Fish and Wiesel by spring.
Love to hear from any area sloperes or sope wannabes.

We have a couple guys in our club that slope soar. I went once.
We were on the lake ontario shore line in an area containing
bluffs. When the wind is out of the north it seems to be ideal
conditions. This spot was not too far from the Renaissance faire
area east of Fair haven. I am sure there are many others along
the lake shore as well. Chimney Bluffs comes to mind if you can
find a good spot.

Jack,
Thanks for the quick response. I stopped at the site near
Stirling last summer. It looks like it would be excellent with
the NW wind we have with a cold front passage. My problem with
the Sterling site is its distance from me at ~ 35 miles one way.
Something closer with a SW facing slope would be better more
often.
Chimney bluffs is oriented to need a more direct northerly wind
that we seldom have in this part of the world. At the Chief's
swap meet Pat M. mentioned a group attempting to gain
permission to slope one of the local landfills and I wonder if
they had any luck.
While were at it, I'm also interested in finding folks with
experience hot wire cutting EPP that are interested in cutting
some Le Fish wings for me.
Cheers,
Hugh

The landfill idea didn't pan out for now but not saying it
couldn't in the future. Pat M. is the guy you wanna see in our
club about slope soaring and..... you already know him from the
sounds!
