Steve Irwin anti-whaling boat was moored in Freo the past
couple of days and leaving at 5:30 pm this evening according to
the papers but I went down after the report it was leaving and
it was still there so I snapped some pictures… its leaving at 11
- 11:30 they said… I got lucky.

THE anti-whaling ship Steve Irwin, which escorted its badly
damaged sister vessel Brigitte Bardot into Fremantle, has taken
down its pirate-like flag.
Paul Watson , the captain of the Sea Shepherd ship that arrived
late yesterday, said the Fremantle Ports harbour master
requested it take down its flag on Friday.
``It seems rather strange since we have had that flag flying for
eight years in every port we have been in including Fremantle,''
Captain Watson said.
``We are not going to argue with them. We will take it down.''
The flag features a skull, with a dolphin and a whale
representing the yin and yang, and underneath is a Neptune
trident and a shepherd's crook.
A Fremantle Ports spokeswoman said the request was made by the
harbour master in his capacity as federal master of the
companies of Master Mariners of Australia and related to the
sensitivity of the pirate flag to other mariners.
