Adel listened and nodded, once finished he looked at Lowell
"your fate......is undecided" he shook his head and laughed
"wow.....you and your friends have one hell of a future ahead of
you so i suggest getting to know them. you are all Royalty of
the lost nations" Adel closed his eyes and smiled.

(sorry guys I don't get home from work till 6ish most days and
get up to leave at 530am, hence the not here as much)
Katrina's eyes darted around the battlefield as she felt her
motion upwards be taken over by the inevitable pull of gravity.
She winced lightly as Jayce's shoulder was bitten into as she
positioned herself to land gracefully. Making sure to land just
shy of the hounds, she came down on one leg. With an explosive
burst of energy she darted to the left away from them shooting
another two arrows between the eyes of the beasts.

Lowell frown slightly but shook his head. "We will see if I do
get to know them more or not. That will depends not of our lost
royalty, but of ourselves... One hell of a future... that I
cannot deny." He laughs softly. "Tell me about yourself a bit,
Adel. Might as well get to know each others while we stay for
the night."

(No Problem, was bored so i figured i'd just post to Lowell,
believe me i understand the work thing. ^.^)
Adel sat up "alright then........uhmmm. I was born in a small
village in the deserts on Hanradesh. my mother died upon my
birth, my father and sisters were killed by bandits when i was
8. in a fit of rage i attacked them and killed them all almost
loving my life in the process........ and then two years later i
became a follower of Death." he looked over at Lowell.
The hounds hit with the arrows died instantly. another hound
smacks katrina with his paw sending her crashing into a wall.
there was so many hounds it was near impossible to keep track of
even with the heightened perception. Jayce throws the hound off
of him and stands up breathing heavily. his eyes glow purple "
Over....drive" Jayce's body explodes with a massive amount of
energy, sending a skyward pillar of purple light. jayce moved
like lightning, bouncing between hounds killing them with single
blows. there numbers begin to dwindle until there is but a hand
full left. Jayces time is up and the aura dies away. he falls to
his knees breathing heavily. a few hounds close in on Katrina
but stop. they look at the sky and begin to whimper. quickly
they run off leaving the two in the desolate streets. Jayce
pulls his mask off and looks up at the sky "......great" the sun
was finishing its set, giving way to a dark blue sky "we have to
go" Jayce said and tried to run. he fumbles over himself and
continues on.

(Understandable about work time.)
Lowell look back at him and internally sighed to himself. "Not a
pleasant past huh... Sorry I asked." He said softly and then
look up. "I never had any siblings, nor did I ever had friends.
I spend most of my childhood escaping the castle and fighting
monsters in the sewers to become stronger despite being far too
young, it the only places where the guards don't usually
patrols. I didn't have any weapons nor armors so I had to use my
fists and my body instead. I was weary of strangers and new
peoples so I don't really try to make friends on my own accord,
so that kinda make me a loner somewhat... even more so after the
demon invasion... after everyone was killed." he said quietly,
closing his eyes as he spoke. It was one of the factors why he
was emotionally distant from everyone... He open his eyes again
to look at Adel back.

Katrina let out a short cry as she went smashing through the
nearby wall. After a split second to shake her head, she pulled
herself haphazardly to her feet, her bow already drawn and
pointed at a hound. A look of confusion crossed her face as the
hounds left, but she quickly scrambled after Jayce. [i]"Why do
we need to go?" She managed to get out as they ran.

Adel nudged him "well you gotta friend now" as they talked four
cloaked figures like the one that lead them to the survivors
walked in laughing and talking with each other. they're masked
were settled on top of there heads revealing there faces. all of
them were still teens. survivors began running over to them,
hugging the cloaked teens. "alright dad sheesh" one of the
cloaked boys said with a smile and forced the hugging man to let
go. his mask had a horseshoe drawn on the cheek. the cloaked
with the horseshoe on his mask seemed to be the oldest, he
looked around confused ".....wheres Jayce and sun?" he said. the
survivors looked around confused "y-you mean suns....not with
you?" the man with the sword said. his hand trembling. Adel
nudged Lowell again "the one who lead us here had a sun on his
mask.....you think that was him?"
Jayce continued running looking left and right for a viable
source of protection. the sound of thousands of wings flapping
came from the mountains followed by a furious black cloud that
swirled in the sky above. they descended upon a stray hound with
hellish speed, circling it like a hurricane. in seconds they
dispersed revealing nothing but bones remaining of the hound.
"thats why" Jayce said still running. the Rahki flew back to
there position in the sky. Jayce stopped and grabbed katrina. he
threw her to the ground and laid over her. there bodies began to
changer color til they were the same color as the ground below
"don't move.....the Rahki are vicious Nocturnal birds.......for
now i am camouflaging us but i don't have much energy left, my
spell won't last that long. I'll lose consciousness and when
that happens you must run while they're feeding off my body"

Lowell nodded silently "Think so... You think we should help
look for him? He did help us after all... Plus there this jayce
person too..." he whispers back softly.

Katrina's eyes widened slightly as she saw the birds consume the
hound in seconds. In the second she was thrown to the ground
her breath caught as she hit the ground. Her eyes locked on
Jayce as he spoke, even the heiress's ever composed face showed
worry. She bit her lip in thought and shook her head.
[i]"Leave you here to die. I don't believe that I can do that."
She began to look through the streets to see if there was a
doorway, or a building she could get the two of them too.

Adel thought for a moment "......yeah we should.....only problem
is the Rahki are out and about" he stopped to think again
"nevermind.......i think i can handle them" Adel stood and went
to talk to the cloaked figures, after speaking to them he walked
toward the entrance and waved Lowell over " they wish us the
best of luck.....were probably going to need it" Adel turned and
followed the path heading back up to the way they came in. once
outside the building he hopped onto a roof and looked around
"........thats weird.....the Rahki are all focused around the
center of that street" he pointed to a street in the distance
around two hundred yards from them.
"that......is not acceptable" his voice was getting even more
labored. his head bobbed up and down fighting the urge to pass
out "this was not a fight.....for you in.....the first place"
the buildings all had entrances but none that were sealed off
that could stop the Rahki from giving chase. Jayce pushed
himself off of her with shaky arms, giving her enough space
between him and the ground to run "get ready to go.........".
