She paused in her braiding slightly surprised by the question.
"Hm starting off heavy with the questions? I think I spent the
first 2-3 months trying to escape Soren and go home, yelling at
him, crying and feeling guilty. Afterwards I had to accept my
parents were dead along with the others who worked in the
castle..." her hands fell from the half finished braid as she
sighed. "We spent time training but I avoided anything that had
to do with my family heirloom. It didn't feel right having it
when it rightfully belonged to my mother. Most of my days were
spent training, surviving and for the one day confronting the
people that hurt my family." she undid the tie keeping the staff
on her back and laid it across her legs. "What about you. How
was it in the jungle on your end?"

"I'm not for one for beating around the brush and Airin says I
lack subtlety." Lance said as he nodded as she told him
everything." I cried for the first 2 days and nothing else.
After the crying I blame myself for my parents death, s saying
that if Airin didn't need to protect me. My parents would have
still be alive...but Airin beat these thought out of my head. I
though that Jin, My family heirloom, was lost when we left the
castle. When the time came for me to become king of Vatras
airin told me she manage to save Jin that day and then she
pushed me off my boat and had me fight some giant squids."

She giggled softly as she pictured him being pushed out a boat.
"Sounds scary, fighting giant squids I mean. Handling my own
right of passage monster was scary enough but I hope I'l be able
to summon stronger creatures like it one day."

"You can summon creatures? That's amazing... I've never actually
meet someone who can do that." Lance said as his voice filled
with excitement." I know I just met you but it makes sense, you
seem bright and happy.. someone everyone wants to be around.."

Blushing she rubbed the back of her head "The study of summoning
is one of Hanradesh strong suits. My mother was really great at
summoning strong creatures but her control on them was shaky,
but my father had great control but lacked enough power to
summon stronger ones." she held out her hand, heat began to
gather until a small fire fairy appeared. "I can summon most
element fairies, and I can summon a fire and air spirit." she
said and smiled. "I hope I can everyone in our group just as
happy and bright."

"My dad, Timohy, was a great hand to hand fighter and my mom was
so graceful with any sword. I would train for hours in different
type of martial arts and sword styles. Sometimes my parents
would watch me and I would give all I had."Lance smiled abit as
he remembered his times with his parents." A lot of people from
Vetras are aggressive and loves to fight but are good hearted
people. I would always try to get out of my studies and go
straight to my training, so that the next day out school I
wouldget into fights to try out whatever I learned." Lance smile
faded as he looked at luxia." What about your childhood?
Anything that you were really proud of?"

"My ability to escape my guards and tutors." she said with a
smirk. "I never liked studying, I'd much rather learn first
hand, or just adventure outside the palace walls. The only
person able to catch me was Soren and we always explored the
town if I pouted enough. I never liked being a princess, the
tutors, and annoying dresses...I didn't have kids my age to play
with, just Soren and the other adults in the castle when they
weren't busy." she frowned a bit and went back to braiding her
hair. "I never really wanted..." she trailed off and shook her
head, "What else did you enjoy doing as a kid?" she asked.

Lance blushed abit." Story time with my parents and Airin if my
parents were gone or too busy to come see me. They would tell me
stories from when they were young... Story time was one of the
reason why I wanted to explore the other kingdoms. You?" Lance
Choice not to ask about the trailing off.

"Reading adventure stories and stories about various mythical
beings. I also enjoyed sitting in with my mother and father as
they went over treaties and new laws. Made me feel like a grown
up when they let me stamp the approved sheets." she said and
smiled.
