the man gave a sly smile and cut a piece of apple of and ate. he
chewed it and looked at each one of them "......seeing as you
didn't tell us your name......that must mean you know what we
are" the others smiled and looked at each other. the man with
the apple shook his head "....were of no threat.....were all
ferry men....well except him" he pointed to the one astray from
the group who still wasn't paying them no mind. cedric looked at
him, eyes still untrusting. the man laughed and showed him his
arm. on it was a black tattoo of a robed figure on a row boat
riding down a river. the others did the same and showed theres.
cedric immediately gave a sigh of relief and his usual look came
back "so only he is a collector" the man nodded "....well we
still will not give our names" the man laughed and ate some more
of the apple "...fair enough, so what are you doing here?"
cedric climbed off his horse and walked over to the man "were
seeking shelter at Arakesh" the man laughed again "
sorry.....Arakesh is full right now" cedric looked at him
confused "......full of demons that is." Aldon looked over at
the man in surprise "what do you mean Ferryman" aldon said
angrily and hopped off his horse. the man looked at aldon with a
serious face " for quite some while now Arakesh has been overrun
with ghastlies, that have been pouring in from the Mountains.
usually the Vingarian Soldiers patrolling the mountains
protected the city since its right on the border of the demon
lands and the human lands. but i believe it was.....ten years
ago, the soldiers of the city were called back to Ving....and
without them the city was overrun. Ghastlies have made it there
own." aldon and cedric crossed there arms in thought "....are
there any humans still alive?" the man smiled "the fact that
were here should be enough for that answer" cedric looked at the
FerryMens Group and went back to thinking. "Feel free to rest up
with us, before you go on your way....if you plan on still going
though....i suggest you scout ahead first" the Ferryman said
before going back to his apple.

Lowell had the similiar reaction as Aldon did when he mention
what happens to Arakesh... 'Ten years ago... I don't recall
Father calling the guards back, nor did I heard the guards
mention of Arakesh either. They all should know what happens if
they leave their posts!' He thought to himself somewhat angrily,
finding this strange and yet it was somehow coincidental.
Without thinking, he hustle Veera back onto the path toward the
city intending to see the city for himself.

Katrina raised an eyebrow. [i]"Full of demons for the last ten
years?" She furrowed her brow lightly. Sighing internally she
knew that couldn't just be a coincidence. As Castor neighed and
shook his head she reined him in, and she looked to Cedric.

situation would likely be a rash decision."

Soren sighed as his reins dropped to the horses neck. He rubbed
his head lightly "So its entirely run over with demons."
Airin groaned lightly and stretched her arms over her head.

She dropped her reigns and resumed looking up at the sky though
she was mildly interested in what the ferrymen and collector
were. She patted Pandora on the neck and smiled when she
wandered over to graze on a patch of grass.

Lance climbed off gard and lead her to the patch of grass with
Lucia. He would look at Lucia and open his mouth to say
something but would stop and pet card. He didn't know what to
say but figured this would be a good time to speak to the other
heirs.

"i know so we'll probably have to get a scouting team to survey
the city......its a walled city so i would think nothing but the
top of the wall for surveillance....it should be high enough to
see most of the city" cedric said to katrina. aldon noticed
lowell heading onward and began to go after. cedric put his arm
out to stop him. "remember aldon.....this is there
mission....there kingdoms........if he feels he has to see the
city then let him" aldon looked at him angrily and shoved cedric
arm away "so i should let him wander off by himself? would you
let her do that?" he pointed to katrina. cedric looked at her
then back to aldon "........i would" aldon seemed almost
shocked. "you lie!! get out of my way" aldon tried to push past
cedric but cedric stepped even further in front of aldon to
impede his path "i said........move" a red aura around aldon
began to form. cedric did not falter, he stood his ground and
stared aldon down. the Ferrymen talked amongst each other
laughing and pointing quietly at the two. the one farthest from
the group was no longer there. far ahead walking next to Lowell
was him. "you should not go off on your own.....that city is
dangerous" the man said to lowell. he looked back to the group
who was slowly getting smaller the farther they went "but it
seems i can't stop you, nor will i try since it is not my
place....." the man was young. he looked around Lowells age. he
wore black pants, shoes and shirt, around his neck was a red
scarf. his hair was gelled into a faux hawk(mohawk). and his
eyes were just as black as theres. "the names wolfe........Adel
Wolfe" he smiled and continued to look at lowell.

Lowell took one glance at him and look on ahead with a single
reply after looking at his appearance. "...Fine." He still
intended to see the city for himself, and he would not let
anyone stop him from doing so. Arakesh was once apart of ving...
and if... it indeed was taken over by the demons, then it is his
duty to see it for himself as the future king of Ving. Of course
he still didn't introduced himself to Adel even now as he still
didn't trust Adel's group.

As Cedric and Aldon argued, Katrina shook her head. She knew
that Cedric would let her go, if she chose to inspect something
for herself. If lowell wanted to see for himself, she wasn't
about to stop him. If he came back unharmed it took care of the
scouting mission....although she would likely still get a birds
eye view from the wall. With her bow she was likely the most
well equiped. As her thoughts continued she distanced herself
from the arguing two, staring up at the sky, planning to avoid
the laughter.
(Skip airin and soren this go busy tonight)

Adel smiled "so.....seeing that your so angry about the city
being run over....you must be from Ving" Adel looked him over
inspecting him " a son of one of the soldiers that was posted
here?......no......a noble maybe.........prince?" Adel looked at
Lowells face "......" he smiled again and continued walking in
silence. as they got further the city came into view. even from
the distance they were at the city looked huge. the large wall
blocked the view of mostly everything. the only things to see
were the tops of the few buildings that were tall enough to hang
over the wall, and the catle higher up the mountain of course.
Metal rails ran down the mountain side from the castle to the
city.
