The boys eyes remained closed as she jumped down. The cat,
watching its new prey, circled her as she descended. It let out
a mighty roar and began to zigzag towards her.

She held the staff off to the side and watched the cat come
towards her. "I'll protect those that are weak and defeat anyone
who threatens the peace." the jewel in the staff began to glow
and the crescents began to turn a bright white. "As the queen of
Hanradesh I shall reclaim its throne and bring peace back to my
home." once the cat was in range she jumped into the air and
slashed her staff in front of her sending the 3 glowing
crescents at the cat.

The cat continued its sprint at the girl, its fangs bared,
intending to make it a fatal blow. As he dashed the three
crescents caught it off guard. Unable to redirect its momentum.
The blades hit him full on and sent it careening back into a
tree. The tree snapped as the creatures full weight was thrown
into it.

She landed on the ground in a crouch, carefully watching the
area the cat had been thrown in. The three crescents flew back
and reattached to the staff as the glow died down.

The pile of debris was still for a long moment. The sound of
shifting wood and a low deep growl emanated from beneath the
pile. The blood red eyes were wild with anger, without
hesitation the creature rushed her.

She stumbled back in surprise, glaring she swiped again and sent
the three blades at the cat.

The cat, wild in rage, barely noticed the blades barreling at
it. As they struck home again, the sickening sound of tearing
flesh echoed through the area and the cat fell over, no longer
breathing.

She let out a sigh of relief and sank to her knees. The wind
fairy brought the platform down, dispersing and laying the boy
next to her as she vanished. Luxia held the staff above the boy
and small white shards began to fall from the jewel and heal his
wounds.

The boys breathing steaded as she began to heal his wounds.
After several minutes his eyes began to flutter open. Very
familiar bright green eyes stared back at her as they did.

She lowered the staff to the ground, seeing the familiar eyes
she smiled tiredly.
