The blade pierced the creatures eye and it seemed to scream in
pain. Sinking like a stone, the inky blackness of the water
below swallowed up the creature as it fell. However the cries
of the fallen seemed to enrage the other squids. Soon they
began to grab at him from all sides as they tried to tear him
into different directions.
With a soft shake of her head Airin continued to watch. More
than strength would be needed here. She had faith that the
young master of the sword would figure out how to utilize his
teachings and skills.

Lance yelled as the squids pulled him in different directions,
jin glowed a soft greenish blue color. A shark made of water
swam towards one of the squids and began attacking it.

As the squid was attacked it let go of Lance, leaving the other
three to still have a grip on the heir of Vatras. The squid
that was attacked flailed around as the shark attacked.

Lance use his freed hand to slash at the eyes of the squids. The
shark shake it's head and bite hard into the squid, trying to
rip it to shreds.

Two of the three squids moved out of the way of the blade,
leaving the third to take the brunt of the damage. The water
surrounding the last of the sharks soon became crimson as the
shark tore through it.

Lance thrust jin into the eye of the squid that still remained
near him and swam to the surface of the sea takingdeep breaths.
The shark let the squid fall from its mouth and disappeared.

The squid darted out of the way just in time to avoid the hit.
The two remaining followed lance to the surface. With them a
wave of water rushed over his head,

The wave hit Lance and knocking him over. He swing jin, shard
of ice cut through the water at the squids.

Taken aback one of the squids missed being able to get out of
the way of the ice, leaving a large gash in its side. The other
disappeared under the water into the blackness.

Lance swam towards the surface of the sea.
