the arrows hit the anglers dead on killing them. the other
anglers continued up the waterfall. once close enough they began
to jump out of the water aimed at Katrina. Cedric watched
diligently with his usual soft smile "my lady, i wish to impart
on you some knowledge......." cedric said loudly to carry over
the roar of the falls "the anglers are vicious fish that come
from a dark part of the river...........at the top of the falls"
as if on cue anglers began to rain down from the falls aiming
for Katrina. it was clear she would have to abandon her post.
the falls dropped into a river that lead deeper into the jungle.
rocks of all sizes riddled the river, rocks large enough to
travel upon........

Katrina frowned as Cedric spoke, nodding internally. As the
fish began to fall from above her, she tried to swing out of the
way, but not before one of them grazing her. Quickly she hopped
to the rocks down stream from her. Her footing was light, as
she agily hopped from rock to rock. She continued firing arrows
in an attempt to lessen the number of fish she was dealing with,
or at least to see if it was putting a dent into them.

the anglers followed faithfully, it seemed for everyone one fish
downed two took its place. it was clear that simply attacking
would not do it. Cedric was trailing along the side of the river
running at a light sprint to keep up "understand your
surroundings" Cedrics teaching would ring through her head. the
trees beganto decrease in number, becoming more spaced out. the
river started to shallow, but still was deep enough for the
anglers to give chase. a few of the trees seemed to have claw
marks on them and the ones marked seemed to be short fruit or
nuts.

As she moved from boulder to boulder, Cedric's words rang
through her mind. She had to figure out a way to use her
surroundings to aid her in this. Digging her heel into a rock,
she made a sharp right and went for the trees that still dotted
the river side. She needed some height, some space between her
and the anglers. Seeing the claw marks she bit her lip lightly,
but gracefully swung herself into the upper branches of one of
the trees near to the river. so that she could get a better
picture of her situation. As she did, she gripped her bow in
her hand, an arrow still seated on the string, its tip alight
with a soft flame that the girl didn't seem to notice yet.

the anglers snapped at her as she made her way onto land. the
fish swam viciously at the banks of the river. some launching
themselves at the tree with great might to get her. from her
perch she would see about twenty yards away heading farther into
the jungle away from the river was a group of very large bears.

Keeping an eye on the few jumping at her, she carefully aimed
her arrows keeping them at bay. Seeing the bears her mind began
to spin. Maybe she could use the bears to help deal with the
anglers. Above the heads of the creatures she arced an arrow of
fire which split into 5. The arrows landed behind the bears
looking to drive them to the river, as she stayed hidden in the
trees.

the bears jumped and roared at the flames but soon enough made
there way toward the river. the anglers hit with the arrows flop
up and down on the ground trying to get back to the water. soon
enough the bears caught sight of the anglers and began to run
toward them. splashing into the water the bears began to hunt.
completely forgetting about katrina the anglers tried to make
there way back to the falls "your job is to kill the anglers my
lady.......all of them" Cedric said. he was standing next to one
of the bears and for some reason they weren't attacking him

Katrina nodded lightly hearing Cedric's words. Clutching the
bow in her hand tighter she murmured under her breath softly.
[i]"I don't intend to let them live." With the agility of a
cat, she hopped from the tree branch she was on and landed in
the next tree, and then the next, and the next.....until she had
caught up with the bulk of the anglers again as they were driven
upstream. Seating another arrow on the string, she closed her
eyes for a moment and murmured, [i]"Festival of lights".
Letting another flaming arrow fly, this time it split into 20
arrows in the air. The arrows fell to the stream seeking to
pierce many of the fish. The girl herself hopped down from the
tree and ran along the bank, holding the bow almost like a
blade.

the rain of arrows startled the fish. blood red stained the
crystal blue waters as the fish were massacred. a few in terror
jumped from the water which was death none the less.

Smirking softly as the waters turned crimson, the heiress
gripped her bow like a blade. [i]"Invitation to dine....." She
murmured softly to herself, whether she realized her words or
not was unclear. However her movements were fluid, the string
of the bow becomes bladelike, and it swiped through one of the
fish in the air. However no blood fell to the ground, rather it
seemed to soak into the bow. Un-phased by this a slight grin
settled over Katrina's lips.
