Cedric Stood atop a waterfall. at the bottom upon a lone rock
sat the Young Heiress Katrina. his hands were crossed behind his
back and a soft smile played upon his lips "Lady Katrina has
come so far.......so far" Today was The day of the right of
passage for the young Heiress, today she would Truly call
herself......... the Queen Of the Ivory Keep.

Katrina sat on the rock at the bottom of the waterfall. Her
long golden locks danced about softly in the breeze. She had
grown into herself in these last eight years. Her features were
soft and elegant, she had the look of a noble to her, even in
the jungle. Her eyes were closed as a single leg was folded
beneath herself, while the ivory bow sat at her side. Her hands
were folded in her lap as she focused on her breathing, the only
sound she heard being the constant white noise of the waterfall.
Nearly half of her life had been spent here in the jungle, yet
it was never a home. It was a safe haven, a place that Cedric
could train her, without the fear of being attacked. So many
years of honing her abilities, her skills with a bow, and the
innate magic that flowed through her veins as a part of her
heritage. Over the years she had grown a bit more withdrawn,
though never losing her ability to put on her court airs. Her
eyes were keen, her senses deadly, and her drive formidable.
The training Cedric had lead, on top of her own straying into
the subjects her books had once spoke of long ago had made for a
unique viewpoint.
In the constant whir of the waterfall, her mind strayed into
itself for a minute. Almost to the mindset where she read the
stars she let out a soft breath, collecting her thoughts and
energy. Finally her eyes flickered open, and she stretched her
arms, cloaked in red fabric to the sky. With a quick motion she
had her hair tied back and out of the way as she stood and
looked up at Cedric as she picked up the bow. Her fingers moved
instinctively over the ivory surface lingering on the engravings
as they passed.

"Today would be the day that you would have been given your
right of passage......we will not change our customs" Cedric
smirked and crossed his arms "over the eight years i have
brought you to this waterfall and everyday it was the
same.........until today" cedric stepped forward getting closer
to the edge of the falls "Lady Katrina, First Child Of the Noble
Queen, Arundels Hope and future....." he said looudly as if
speaking to a crowd "are you ready for your right of passage?"
he looked down to her still smirking softly

As he spoke a soft sadness momentarily crossed the young woman's
face. However it was soon covered by the graceful mask she wore
day in and day out. As he spoke to the imaginary crowd her lips
twisted upward a fraction of an inch, before she nodded. "I am
ready Cedric." she said, her voice confident but soft.

Ceddric continued to smirk as his bracelet glowed again and a
dagger appeared in his hand "then let it begin...." cedric cut
across his palm and allowed the blood to drip down into the
water. soon the waters around katrina were teeming with quick
movements "those are Hell Anglers My Lady" the fish swished
quickly left and right in the water, there slender silver and
black scaled bodies were easily five feet in length. jagged
teeth that could easily tear through flesh protruded from its
jaws. Cedrci squeezed his bleeding palm and tossed more blood
down, this time it landed on the lone rock katrina stood on "be
careful my lady" cedric murmured and watched

As soon as the first drop of blood fell from Cedric's hand,
Katrina was at the ready, her bow in her hand, with an arrow
already seated on the string. As soon as the movement began in
the water, her eyes narrowed, catching the flash of the silver
and black scales on the fish. Taking a half step to center
herself on the rock in the river, she pulled the arrow back.
With a sure exhale, she released a single arrow at the nearest
angler, before her eyes darted momentarily to the blood that
fell on the boulder where she stood.

the arrow missed the angler as it quickly juked to the left.
another angler jetted out of the water from behind her aiming
for her shoulder. two more came from her left side aimed at her
legs. the water quickly went from calm to chaotic as the blood
drove them crazy. the water rippled and trembled violently with
the fish all swimming in there random directions

As her arrow missed the faintest of frown's crossed her brow.
Quickly seating another arrow, she heard the motion from behind
her and from her left. Her right heel digging into the ground
she launched herself in an arc over and around the fish. She
quickly grabbed a hold of a rock on the face of the waterfall,
and swung herself to a ledge. Spinning on a dime, she fired
another two arrows ahead of one of the fish, aiming for it to
jerk into them.

the angler jerked directly into the path of the arrow and died
instantly. its blood causes the others to go berserker. a flurry
of anglers jet out of the water like missiles aimed directly at
her. others began defying the pull of gravity and making there
way up the waterfall stream

A quick frown crossed her brow as the anglers began to go crazy.
As quick as she could she pulled herself up again, further away
from the water below. Launching another few arrows at the fish
that were rushing her, her eyes darted to the waterfall to see
the few working their way up the water. There were so many, she
knew she needed to deal with more than one at a time.
