The solitary boat. [Airin and Lance]

In the inky darkness the night the waves lapped up against the
shore at the edge of the Jungle. In the sand bars a single ship
came to a slow stop just on the deep side. The sound of an
anchor dropping into the water could be heard as the ship was
hidden near the rocks. A little while later the form of Airin,
Lance on her back as she carried what she took from the castle,
could be seen as she made her way into the thickets of the
Jungle, looking for shelter.

Lance didn't move giving the illusion he was sleeping. The only
thing that showed was he was not sleeping was the occasional
sniffle. His eyes were still red and string from crying. He
believe that he stopped only because he couldn't cry anymore.

Hearing the boy's sniffling Airin sighed softly. She knew how
much he had cried, and she couldn't blame him. What he just
went through.....would test anyone, let alone a 10 year old. It
wasn't fair, to have his parents taken, to have his life changed
in a second. Coming to a small rock formation near the shore,
she came to a stop, carefully setting down the bag and object,
before carefully setting Lance down.

His blood shot eyes drafted to the jungle floor." Where.....Are
we?" His voice was weak and strain. He cough bit after he asked
her.

Airin set a hand on the boy's shoulder. "We are in the Ajirahn
Jungle I believe. This should be good enough to rest." She
said quietly. They had escaped in such a hurry, she knew they
both needed to rest. And they needed to rest somewhere that
they would be safe enough.

Lance nodded and pulled his knees to his chest." How long will
we be here for?"

She shook her head softly. "I'm not sure young master, I'm not
sure. It may be a while, but for now.....here is safer."

Her eyes still resembled the stormy sea as she sat down by him.
"I don't know. We will be cautious, but they don't know where
we went. We should be safe for the time being."

"Did they come because of me? Was it be cause I didn't clean or
eat my vegetable or because I pushed Alicia heart in the middle?
Why did everyone have to die?" Tears were rolling down his
cheeks again.
