Festival Day (open)

Luxia rolled onto her back and stared at the top of her canopy.
Her long hair was fanned out beneath her as she tried to find a
reason to stay in bed all day til the festival started. "I hate
going to lessons..." she muttered softly and wondered how long
it'd be before either Soren or her tutors came to fetch her.
She'd also have to remember to see what dress the maid may try
to force on her and hide a set of clothes somewhere for when
she'd go off on her own.

The hustle and bustle of the day could already be heard in the
halls and the neighboring rooms. The festival preparations were
well underway, decorations being brought in, even the streets
outside the actual castle were alive with the beginning with the
arrival of the nobles of the kingdom. The scent of the meal
cooking already danced about on the breezes of the hall. Likely
the maids and seamstresses were putting the finishing touches on
her festival gown in the next room. Soft humming from the women
filtered in through the small cracks in the door to the room.
As the sun continued its rise through the sky it was only a
matter of time before Soren would come retrieve her for her
lessons.

"Any moment now he'll come barging in to bother me." she sighed
sat up and shut the curtains to her canopy. Glancing around she
crawled out of bed and quickly hid beneath it, dragging a pillow
with her "Now he'll think I left elsewhere and I can sleep
again!"

Soon enough the door swung open slowly, and a familiar gait
walked into the room. The curtians above her were opened
carefully with a cheerful, "Good morning Xia!" As Soren's
bright green eyes surveyed the bed a frown settled over his
face. "Hmmmm.......not here?" He began to closer inspect the
bed, checking for signs of where she might be.

She buried her face in the pillow she grabbed, and curled up
hoping he'd either grow bored and leave or simply search
elsewhere.

The sounds of rustling could be heard as Soren began to search
the sheets. Noticing a missing pillow he smirked softly, and
walked towards the door, appearing to have left, but
intentionally staying out of view of hiding spots.

She heard him leave and let out a sigh of relief before pulling
herself out from under the bed "I thought he'd never leave. Now
I can go back to sleep!"

As soon as she was visible, she was practically tackled as Soren
popped up behind her. "I think I found you."

She screamed at the sudden tackle but seeing it was only Soren
she calmed down and glared "You tricked me?! No fair that's
playing dirty Soren!" she pouted and crossed her arms.

He smirked as she pouted, "and hiding from me so you could avoid
your lessons was playing fair?"
