Caged Freedom (Midday)

The soft click of heels barely rose over the sounds of the busy
market nor did the patrons turn to glance up at the flash of
green leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Too used to the green
darting through the city that it was no longer something to gawk
at, after all the Hanradesh heir made it her weekly duty to
escape her guards and tutors to venture out into the city from
the safety of the castle. The young heiress hated to be cooped
for long periods of time, wanting to see her kingdom with her
own eyes and learn without the use of tutors.
The Hanradesh heir landed silently on the ground between two
buildings, she bent over with her hands on her knees panting
softly and trying to catch her breath. "Thought I'd...I'd never
loose them." she mumbled, straightening up she tried to pat don
her wind swept hair but could already feel the more stubborn
strands stick back up. Like most of her people she was truly a
sight to behold, her long hair was ash blonde and lead down to
mint green tips, the messy top strands gave her a youthfulness
and endeared her to many with her child like antics. Her hands
fell to her side with a soft sigh, she didn't wish to cause
trouble for her guards and tutors but she hated the forced
lessons, why only force her to sty within the castle when there
was an entire world she could explore and learn from? The
heiress shook her head knowing there would come a time she her
mother would hand over the Jade of the Moon to her and truly
announcing her future role as leader which would make her weekly
trips impossible.
She shook the thoughts away, "No reason to think of things like
that, that is still a bit away." she said softly to herself, and
turned her brown eyes up to the sky. "I want to see all the
other lands and kingdoms...I want to explore and be free. Not
tied down to a throne..." with that she figured she'd had enough
fun and left the alley to make her way back to the castle to
receive her scolding of the week.

as she exited the alley she would see a young man screaming at
the guards and running dark skinned hands through pure white
hair " I TURN AROUND FOR ONE SECOND AND YOU LOSE HER!!" the
guards cringed as the boy yelled at him, even though he was only
seventeen he was in a position of trust and respect. this young
boy is Soren Dionsi. Adviser and somewhat older brother to the
young heiress Luxia "For the Love of the Sun God Please find
her.........so i can wring her neck myself" Soren Mumbled and
rubbed his face. the guards bowed and ran off in search.

He body tensed in response to the easily known yell Oh Soren
does know how to overreact, causing such a scene and yelling at
the guards. It's not their fault I'm clever enough to escape..
she thought and quickly ducked back int the alley she had left.
She looked at the wall blocking her and frowned "Everything is
always much easier when I'm already at the top." she muttered,
trying to find a way to get back to the roofs so she could flee.
Her caught sight of several trash boxes and she grinned. She
quickly gathered and stacked them a top one another and
scrambled up top "Still short...I'll have to jump." she said and
crouched down.

As the guards took off in multiple directions, Soren took his
hand from his face. He sighed as his bright green eyes scanned
the street. His senses on high alert he walked slowly, shaking
his head. "Every time I turn my back. Now lets see, where
could she be." His eyes fell on the alley and he picked up his
swift pace to look for the escaped heiress.

She jumped and caught herself on the ledge. Dangling she heard
approaching footsteps and swore softly as she attempted to pull
herself up and over. I'm gonna be in so much trouble for getting
my clothes dirty! she thought.

Hearing the soft sound of scuffling from above him, Soren's eyes
darted towards the rooftop. Catching sight of a disappearing
foot, his eyes sparkled softly. "Is it?" Seeing the pile to
reach the roof, he had a good feeling and quickly began to climb
to the rooftops.

"Ha this get away is almost too easy." she said and made her way
towards the next rooftop. "I bet I'll get very far today in my
exploring." she grinned and jumped to the next roof, not
noticing him following after her.

Silent as the wind, Soren pulled himself onto the roof top.
Catching the sight of familiar mint tips he shook his head. "I
should have known" He thought to himself. Quietly he tailed
her, taking care as he jumped from roof to roof after her,
taking care to stay out of sight till he was close enough to
catch her.

Confident in her escape she kept running without paying
attention to where she was going. As she ran she didn't see the
piece of tile jutting out and felt her foot catch on it causing
her tumble towards the edge of the roof.

As she was falling towards the edge, a figure darted towards
her. Before she could fall too close to the edge, familiar arms
caught her. Safety and strength were always in those arms.
Bright green eyes met hers, worry etched in his features. "Are
you okay?"
