Upon seeing the blood eyed birds Katrina began to shake.
Holding onto Cedric tightly, she stifled a cry as they began to
rush the two. Barely peeking around him, she watched the birds
meet Cedric's arrows, fear in her eyes.

"burn" he said through gritted teeth and fired another arrow
that burst the group of birds into flames "run into the castle
now!!"

Trembling softly as the birds burst into flame, Katrina gave a
hesitant nod. "You're coming too?" She asked as she let go of
the hem of his shirt. Stumbling backwards she picked up the hem
of her dress and headed up the path to the nearest castle door.

cedric nodded and killed a few more of the birds before
following. "where are the guards?" Cedric looked around
confused. as they reached the large door that goes into the
castle he pushed it open and ushered her inside

Katrina looked around confused as they approached the door.
[i]"I....I don't know. Its not like them for no one to be at
their post." She stayed close to him as he ushered her inside,
biting her lip as she looked around nervous.

the corridor they entered was hell. blood covered the walls in
mass. bodies littered the floor and the stench was unbelievable.
cedric walked in and upon seeing it immediately covered his
young mistresses eyes "how did this happen.......in such short
time" he looked around and bit his lip "Lady Katrina....i'm
going to uncover your eyes.....but i need you to stay strong for
me okay?"

The unmistakable scent of warm iron that came with bloodshed hit
her nose as her eyes were covered. Shaking softly she clung
close to Cedric. She nodded her head softly as Cedric spoke.

cedric nodded and slowly uncovered her eyes to see the scene "we
need to move forward.......Manual Mode, Sword of the Blessed"
his bracelet glowed again and the Bow and Quiver was Replaced
with a silver bladed claymore sword. the filler had runic blue
writing on it and a cross shaped gem right above the guard.
Cedric kept his free arm around Katrina as they moved forward

The sight was shocking to the young heiress. The walls, the
floor stained the deep crimson of blood. She felt her stomach
twist into a knot, momentarily grateful she had skipped her
lunch. Shaking, she barely noticed that one of her hands had
the edge of Cedric's shirt clasped with all her might in her
hand, as if afraid that if she let go he too would be among the
bodies on the floor. "We can't just stay here.......what could
have done this?" She asked tentatively as they moved forward,
quite sure Cedric's protection was what was keeping her moving.

"we are not staying here my lady......just need to find the king
and queen" cedric made his way toward the Dining Hall where the
king and queen should be awaiting dinner to start. Cedric kept
his hand around the young mistress as they walked the halls. his
eyes kept watch for anything ".......those birds were of demon
origin....ghastlies to be exact which means someone must be
controlling them. finally getting closer to the Dining hall the
sound of battle could be heard inside, cedric immediately picked
up the pace but made sure to keep the young mistress with him
