Detail Required in a Witness Statement

       Hi
I have a learner whose line manager is leaving the company
within a couple of weeks. The learner has written a detailed
evidence document with a few quotes in the document from his
line manager. I suggested that he ask his line manager to
complete a witness statement before he leaves so that he has
this on record now. How much detail is required in the witness
statement or is it just sufficient for the manager to say he
agrees with the content of the evidence? I checked the Level 4
toolkit and it doesn't say what's specifically required in the
       Witness Statement.
       Thanks

       Hi Maria,
There is the generic witness statement template from DSW. Check
       dropbox.
I would recommend that is followed. The content needs to be
sufficient for the learning objective being claimed.
From experience, witness statements can be more work for all
involved to meet the learning objective. Reflective statements
       are the preferred choice.
Same goes for observation forms. Unless the skills coach is
observing (as you know what to look for when observing).
       Sam
