       Middle Winter Crappies

       Crappie fishing has been explosive this year! We have noticed
       that the fish prefer steep structure because it gives them
       something to relate to. The crappies like to suspend throughout
       every depth to find warmer water and to feed. Fish school
       together and feed on zoo plankton on the soft bottom. Find the
       soft bottom by using your camera or sonar. A weaker signal on
       your sonar means you've found the soft bottom. We have kept on
       moving and have drilled a ton of holes. In a lot of lakes that
       have bowl like structure, we have noticed that the fish have
