Lugeostar waited impatiently for his apprentice by the brambles.
Where on earth was Lanternpaw? Of course, the leader had gotten
there quite early and was being very silly, but he wasn't in the
mood for waiting. He had just been appointed leader after their
old leader had died, and he wans't feeling his best.
Where was that darned apprentice?

Lanternpaw was in a bad mood--it seemed to spread like clouds.
Padding toward Lugeostar and trying to look upbeat, she lashed
her tail, waiting for her mentor's orders.

Lanternpaw let out a low growl, "I'm not late, I'm on-time," she
said, her voice neutral. She was normally upbeat and happy, but
she was in a bad mood today.

Lugeostar turned swfitly, golden eyes narrowing. What nerve this
she-cat had, arguing with her leader! He was the one who planned
the mentoring sessions, so how would she know if she were late.
"Enough talk," he growled. "Come-- we will take a brief tour of
the territory."

the leader, referring to his bipolar. "Now," he meowed, pointing
the the marshlands to the northwest. "Whose border is that?"
