Aika streamed onto BloodClan territory, and hid behind a large
oak. She just needed to talk to Canonade... Just for a moment.
She needed him to explain those dreamy looks he gave her... the
staring and looking away? Did he love her? Or was he scared of
her?
As far as Aika Komatsu, BloodClan's deputy was concerned, solely
time would tell. She'd need to talk to him and get to know him
better. That would determine things.
"Canonade?" the serval called out tentatively from behind the
tree. "Uh, Canonade?"

Cannonade walked out of the camp to lead a patrol. As he got
closer to where Aika was, he heard his name and wondered who was
saying it. He didn't want the rest of the patrol to find out so
he sent them in the opposite direction. "Hello?" He mewed,
"Who's been calling my name?"

Aika emerged from the looming shadows with a flick of her tail.
"It's me- Aika, BloodClan deputy. I've been needing to talk to
you for awhile," she meowed tentatively, whiskers twitching.
How exactly would she say this without sounding totally crazy?
Love at first sight wasn't supposed to be real. "Why we're you
staring at me at the gathering?" she asked meekly, looking down.

"Because you were staring at me," the serval she-cat retorted
quickly, head tilted to the side and eyes narrowed. "And I asked
you first," she reasoned, like a kit. Why were you staring at
me? I could practically feel eyes burning through my back." Her
large ears were pricked, her lively amber eyes twinkling in the
moonlight. Oh dear, their childish bickering was sure to wake
someone up.

The serval's golden and black fur bristled ever so slightly.
"Fine. I stared at you because I thought you were good looking,"
she admitted in defeat. "Now why we're you staring at me?"

"I stared at you, first of all because you were staring at me,
and second of all because I thought looked a little pretty," The
brown tabby tom mewed, his eyes shining like little blue orbs.

Aika shrugged, but she was amazed. "Well infant to back to my
coan in the dead of night," she meowed cheekily. "So I guess
that means I'm staying here for a bit, huh?"
