She stared off at a point in the distance. "Uuh........ Hide!"
she announced spotting a bush not too far from the rabbit. "And
then well jump out at it when it swoops down to get the rabbit!"

"And now we wait." She shifted in the brambles of the bush so
she would have a good view of both the sky and the rabbit. After
a few moments, the hawk dove. Tucking it's wings, it dropped out
of the sky like a stone. At the last minute it's wings snapped
open to soften the landing, it's talons grabbing hold of the
rabbit. As the talons dug broke the rabbits skin, Swiftpaw
yowled "Now!" and charged out of the bush. Using the element of
surprise to her advantage, she leapt onto one of the hawk's
still spread wings, pinning it to the ground.

Janepaw unsheathed her long dog claws and ran out into the open,
pouncing onto the bird's neck.

The bird flapped its wings harder in a panic. Although it wasn't
able to gain any air, Swiftpaw was picked up off the ground.
"HuRrY uP." She said, her voice bouncing with the birds wing.
"Im GoInG tO bE sIcK."

The she-cat plunged her claws into the birds throat, ripping it
out.

The tabby flopped onto her side. "That. Was. Awesome!" she said,
flailing her legs in the air. "Good job!" Remembering something,
she wormed her way under the hawk and dragged the rabbit out
from under it. The poor thing was still alive, frozen in terror.
Swiftpaw killed it with a quick bite to the neck.

Janepaw flcked her ear and sheathed her claws. "Gotta go." Her
mew came quick and quiet. She ran off.

Standing up, the apprentice watched her friend run off. "What in
the name of Starclan was that?" she muttered to herself.
