Flyingrose continued to walk with the two kits nearby and one
mewling as she carried him. She stopped, just out of the
territory, and gently set the kit down. "You still want to try
some hunting? I found a mouse scent! Or do you want to keep
going? If you do, I think I scented a cool herd of deer nearby
that we could watch!"

Flyingrose laughed, seeing as they had no idea what a deer was.
"Nevermind, dearies. Maybe I'll show you later." The she-cat
nudged a little moss ball to Hexkit to play with, since he was
still very young. Flyingrose quickly flung herself to the side
and her paws landed on a mouse, which she killed killed and
nudged to Rosekit and Snakekit. "Smell this. You need to
remember a fresh mouse scent, so you always know the scent and
can quickly identify what it is. Then you know how to easily
hunt it."

Hexkit, not knowing what to do with the ball, nommed it.
Rosekit sniffed the mouse, and licked her lips. "Smells good!
But... I can't eat it yet..." She was still in the suckling
phase of kits.

Snakekit inhaled deeply, her little head tilting back and nose
flaring. "Ah! I love the smell of mouse in the middle of the
day." she said. Seeing Hexkit trying to eat the moss, she hooked
it out of his mouth. "You're doing it wrong!"

Flyingrose laughed at the kits softly. "It's alright. Wait just
one moment." The orange and white she-cat disappeared into the
bushes and came back with a very weak mouse. It was badly
injured, so it couldn't run away very fast. She dropped it a
few foxlengths away from Rosekit and Snakekit, then moved to the
side. "Come on! Just try!"
