Takar the alpha male

Alliance: his wolf pack (doesn't have a name yet)

Gender: alpha MALE
Appearance: Thick fur is a dark creamy brown on his belly. It
changes to a warm reddish brown about shoulder height and along
his back, the fur is tipped with black. That's during the summer
seasons though. During the winter, his fur grows thicker. The
cream turns almost completely white and the reddish brown is
shrouded with white, diminishing the warm color quite a bit but
not completely. As a dire wolf, his body is bigger than that of
a grey wolf but not giant in comparison. His head is broader and
his muzzle is longer and wider, better for crushing bones. His
legs are also shorter than the legs of grey wolves, more adapt
for slower prey. His eyes are a pale green and almost looks
white at times.
Personality: He is very kind and social. He treats others as
though they were his family and tries to make everyone happy. To
outsiders and other animals he may seem prideful and vain
because of the dignified manner that he carries himself and the
way others bow to him in the pack. But it is simply the nature
of the alpha to be treated like that. He doesn't really like it
himself but he knows not to mess with it. It is the way the pack
has been running for generations. They have survived. There is
no need to change it. He's also very thoughtful and insightful.
He knows when to ask for help and tries to hear every opinion
before making a decision that will effect the entire pack. But
he also has a very childish side to him as well. He tries to
hide it but sometimes he can't. He marvels at the things the
other wolves in his pack wouldn't and asks many questions about
the strangest things, giving him a pup like quality. He is
extremely protective and would give his life for anyone in his
pack.
History: Takar was the son of the previous alpha. The only son
of the previous alpha in fact. So huge pressure was placed on
him, from the moment he opened his eyes, to become a great wolf.
He constantly watched his father, seeing where he prevailed as
pack leader and where he could have done better. He copied what
made his father great and gradually adopted his own idea of
right and wrong as he grew older. When he was almost two years
old, and very helpful to the pack, a new pack came into the
territory. They challenged Takar's father for territory rights
and sent their best fighter. Takar's father himself took this
challenge and fought the other wolf to the death. While he did
win the fight, he was badly hurt and became crippled. He retired
from his position to become an elder a few months later. His
beta had been watching Takar through the years and saw how hard
the young wolf had worked and seen his sence of judgement in
hunts and challenges within the pack. After much debate, Takar
took his fathers place as alpha male. It took some guidance but
he quickly filled the role as has been a great pack leader ever
since.
RP example: Takar slowly padded to the center of the camp,
almost shaking with nervousness. That wouldn't do for an alpha,
he scolded himself. He had to be strong. But what if they didn't
accept him? What if someone challenged him? He wasn't that old
or that experienced. And his father was still around. What if
they all rejected him and he became the omega? Or worse, was
thrown out of the pack. Swallowing his doubts, he threw back his
head and howled into the cold air; the same way his father had
done to call the pack together. He watched the other wolves of
his back gather around him and his fathers alpha, who sat
slightly behind him. On the outside he looked calm and
dignified. But on the inside he was freaking out. 'oh please let
them accept me...'
