"Look," Patiencecloak said, retreating back into her shell. "I
don't want to be their mom. But I will always be their mother,
just like you will always be their father. I'm not asking you to
quit your duties for them or to take them in, I'm asking you to
be brave enough to tell them. If they tell others then we can
deny everything, but I at least want them to know." She
explained.
"If you say no then I will understand and we can just not tell
them. I will respect your wish and not say anything." Patience
said. It hurt her to be like that. She didn't like her shell,
the cold-hearted cat that most people saw. With all honesty
Patience didn't want to say anything to the kits yet, but her
medicine cat had told her when they scattered them to tell the
kits around 9 moons. Patience was scared. Scared that they would
reject her. Scared that this would be the official end to her
and Eclipsestar. She didn't want either of those things to
happen, but it was Eclipse that would choose what would happen.

rushed over to him and gave him a cat hug, forgetting herself in
the excitement.

Realizing what she was doing Patience back away. If she could
blush her face would be a firetruck red. "Sorry." She said in a
small voice.
