Oh, what a jolly day, eh?
No one injured just yet.
No battles with rats,
no thorns in paws.
What a good day for
good ol' Redcoat.
The tom was sorting
herbs. They were fairly well stocked, only a few
things needed. Well, he would get them.
He could ask someone to go get catmint. Today
wasn't a good day to go to where he used to live.
The ex-rogue lived in the Twolegplace
before coming here, and because it was
a good day, he wasn't going back, even for a quick trip.

"Hello? Is anyone in here?" Firepaw said, walking into the
Medicine den. Seeing Redcoat, she stop walking, "I'm sorry. Am I
intruding? I could come back another time." She said, worried
that she had interrupted something important. The Medicine Cat
Apprentice started to wonder if Redcoat knew that she was the
new apprentice.

The tom had been looking around in
wonder when the apprentice walked in.
Redcoat nearly leapt out of his pelt.
Whipping around, he saw the cat.
"Oh! Sorry, Firepaw."
The tom meowed, slightly relieved.
"You are the new medicine cat apprentice.
Have you had your ceremony at the Cave yet?"
The odd colored tom asked.
"Can't 'member much.
Hit my head when I fell from a ledgermijigger."
Redcoat commented.

"Yes, I'm Firepaw, the new Medicine Cat Apprentice. No, I
haven't had my ceremony yet. I'm sorry for startling you.
Firepaw said the Medicine Cat. "Are you okay? I could leave if
that would help. I don't want you to out of your way for me."
She said, concern laid out on her voice.

especially cold, as it was nearing leafbare. However, no
snowflake fell, and no signs showed they would.
