HOMELESS WOMAN MAY HAVE STARTED FIRE

LAS VEGAS, NV - Ginger lane is still recovering from a hectic
night of activity that included flashing lights, smoke and door
banging at three in the morning.
"A couple of the neighbor kids came and knocked on my door, rang
my doorbell, told me that the neighbor's house was on fire."
She ran downstairs and hit the fire button on her alarm system.
By the time she was dressed and walking outside, sirens could be
       heard in the distance.
"The far side of their house, both of their upper windows had
flames and the windows had shattered out."
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue worked to put out the blaze that
damaged the master bathroom, parts of the kitchen and the roof.
The family that lived in the house has moved away, and now it
remains empty and, while firefighter continue to investigate,
neighbors say they have a good idea how this fire started.
"There was a woman that they saw going into the house that they
had approached and said you know, this is not your house please
don't go in there. We are going to notify the police."
       That was Friday night.
Saturday morning as crews battled the flames another call came
in from a nearby home asking for medical treatment for a woman
whose hands and face were covered with black smoke.
The woman told paramedics she was asleep in a dumpster and felt
       sick.
"I was told the person does have some drug and mental issues.
There's no telling what happened. Hopefully now that she's in
police custody, she'll get the help that she needs.
