Operation Location: Northern Takistan
Operation Objective: Attack an ISIS holdout position and destroy
a Weapon Cache. Attack and capture an ISIS FOB.
Operation Outcome: Successful
Operation Description: Leaving the BLUEFOR FOB with one Apache
crew, one armor crew, and an MRAP with 4 soldiers, we set out to
the first objective which was to destroy an ammo cache and
capture a town friendly ground forces moved onto hill 2081 near
the objective and began to fire upon hostiles inside of the
town. After heavy firefights we began to push into the town with
the armored unit engaging hostile motorized vehicles and
infantry. Friendly ground forces moved in and cleared all the
buildings in town taking out any enemy troops that were hiding.
After successfully completing the objectives in the town we
reformed the convoy and moved to the enemy FOB which had already
been dealt significant blows and damage from the friendly air
support. We moved into the FOB and took out any stragglers
before having to move into a defensive position due to an enemy
counter attack. We managed to repel all of the attacking forces
causing them to either rout or them being KIA. Afterwards we
secured the surrounding area and deemed the mission complete
heading back to base and commencing our debrief.
