       Operation Report: Operation Blue
       By: Phoenix5117 Date: May 31, 2020, 7:40 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Reporting Official: J. Phoenix
       Reporting Official Rank: First Lieutenant
       Reporting Official Position: Zeus
       Operation Name: Operation Blue
Operation Commanding Officer: First Sergeant J. Cotton
Operation Members (Number of Members or Names): PV2. Python,
       1SG. Cotton, PFC. T. Schneider, SGT. "Na,Da"
       Operation Location: Lythium
Operation Objective: Eliminate insurgents and rescue civilians.
Operation Outcome: Civilians lost (ArmA) and Blue and Blue.
Operation Description: The FRU squad, led by 1SG J. Cotton was
tasked with eliminating nearby insurgents who had torched the
local farms and taken the farmers hostage. As the squad neared
the farms the bridge they need to cross was destroyed by what
later analysis revealed to be satchel charges, most likely an
attempt to stop any major offensive upon the insurgents.
Luckily, the MRAP the squad was taking was capable of crossing a
gap in the river allowing them to continue the mission. Paladin
took their vehicle and circled the area twice, eliminating quite
a few hostiles and then stopping to the north to continue on
foot. By now, some rain has moved in and is slowly putting out
the fires started by the insurgents. Paladin quickly pushed
through the maze of stone walls and crops, clearing out any
remaining resistance and soon made it to where the hostages were
being held. Unfortunately, a surprise attack by the insurgents
resulted in a few casualties and the loss of all of the
hostages. After this surprise attack was pushed back, local
police and paramedics arrived on scene as Paladin exited from
the north to then circle around to the south and leave the A.O.
to the west. During this maneuver, the gunner of the MRAP they
were in opened fire on the police and paramedics on scene. Two
police officers and one paramedic were killed. Blue on Blue was
reported thirty seconds after the incident occured. A separate
report was made regarding the incident.
