I'd like to see some other strings tied up, like there was some
pretty big similarities in the characters Lulu and Paine, so I'd
like to see that become of something. I'd also like to see more
of the world, is Spira the only continent on the world?

Isn't that what they're doing with Lightning Returns (kind of)?
Lightning's armour/costume is completely customisable. if it
goes down with players i think i would like to see that too,
although i don't think it suits the world of ff X.
Does anyone think that they might go in the same direction 13-3
and 15 are going ? (more action based)

I want NPCs' personalities and backstories to be expanded. The
things they gave in Final Fantasy X-2 about NPCs were not
satisfying enough for me.
As for battle system, I'd like to see something similar to
Command Synergy Battle (Final Fantasy XIII/-2) or Style-Change
Active Time Battle (Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII) for
some fast-paced battles, but not exactly the same. I liked how
in Final Fantasy XIII you had to change your Paradigms from time
to time in order to win against an enemy using a correct
strategy.

The CTB is something I really appreciate. I'd like to see a
return of that, but with added functionality and more abilities
and strategies.

Like mentioned earlier in the thread, I would like to see a
return of Blitzball from X. Tried out the one in X-2 but if I
remember correctly it sucked. So a upgraded version of X's
blitzball would be lovely. It is one of the main reasons I
sometimes return to play FFX again.

I really loved the story, it was really sad but beautiful.
I loved all the subquests like the monster arena and the dark
aeons. And the sphere grid was really awesome.
I hope X-3 will build upon this and expand that even further
(but please no girly j-pop things like X-2).
I'll buy it whetever it's good or bad though :p

Well, i would love that they keep blitzball (from X blitzball
version), a sphere grid with other amazing stuff,an amazing
storyline, entertaining mini games, i would like if they stay
with the idea of the CTB but with other awesome stuff.
And like DaMastah said, no girly j-pop stuff.

And also, i know that many people wont agree with me but, i
would like Tidus tobe the main character.
I dont know, its just that when i played X-2 for the first time,
i suddenly felt that i missed controlling Tidus, i missed his:HA
HA HA! stuff XD. I got so used to Tidus, that i missed seeing
him.
And i wouldnt like that the game revolves in Chuami and Kurgum
only, i would love to see the old cast together (but of course
with Chuami and Kurgum)
And i would love if Tidus has to become Sin, and Yuna has to
defeat him etc.
Or another villain, becuase i dont think that Sin will be the
only villain there...

I know a lot of people are gonna disagree with me, but I think
it'd be pretty awesome if Tidus became a villain at some point.
Come on, it's totally plausible at this point for him to snap
and go insane because of all these events, especially if Yuna
ends up sacrificing herself after all they went through. And
boy, if he figures out that he's this close to vanishing
again... Dude would probably get depressed and go on a murderous
rampage, or hijack an airship fleet and try to nuke everything.
That or he'd probably commit seppuku when he finally realises
that he can't ever be happy, and that he just doesn't belong in
Spira. Since he's dead, he'd pretty much be Shuyin V2.0. Only he
actually does stuff.
Considering the dismal tone of the evident X-3, I won't be
surprised if they actually do this. It'd give him a hell of a
lot more character development, though. The only thing that
would be tricky is actually pulling it off without making it too
ridiculous.

Thats one of the things i was thinking, poor Tidus, he would get
depressed and even crazy, or maybe sin posses him, since he is
the dream and all that. And. CrystalOfLies is right, it will be
difficult how to pull it off without making it look silly :-)
