yeah, I loved CC! But as CrystalofLies said, it was following a
totally different plot than VII. We knew the end, but that's
just about all we knew. At least everything in between was
totally different. Auron Braska and Jecht are following the
exact same path in the same world, ya know?? Idk, I mean I would
enjoy it, but that's because I'm a huge fan of the original
games... but I think the average fan would be bored, haha.
But yeah, I agree... the idea of X-3 was ALWAYS something I
wanted... but after the audio drama? nahh. Not following the
audio drama. Rehashing Sin would just be... disappointing. I
would want a new villain... new conflicts. Not just BATTLE WITH
SIN PART 2: OH BUT THIS TIME HE'S BECKONED SO HE'S DIFFERENT!
       Yeah, sure. xD

The thing is, with the audio drama, I never got the impression
that Sin was the villain of FFX-3 or that he would be relevant
to the plot other than "why was Sin beckoned"? I think that was
just supposed to be a surpising twist to the drama in order to
keep people tuned in for more. I could see the Sin problem being
solved in the first hour of the game. There's obviously
       something much bigger happening.

The thing with Sin coming back reminded me of Seymour. Wasn't he
the one who was obsessed with taking control of Sin to satisfy
his nihilistic needs? A small group of Guado could have wished
for a leader from the original bloodline, so they beckoned
       Seymour, who beckoned Sin... well.
As much as I abso-fucking-lutely love Seymour, I wouldn't want
him to be back just for that.

I understand the argument against Auron, Jecht and Braska
prequel, but really it's all about execution. There's enough
unseen history between the three characters to make a full
game. Auron is obviously my favorite, but Braska is a very
interesting unexplored character. It's too easy to say he was
simply motivated by the death of his wife. He could have known
far more about Yevon than he ever expressed in the Jecht
spheres. Also Auron had a life before the pilgrimage with him
rising through the ranks of the warrior monks. It sounds like he
had a complicated friendship with Kinoc from the way he reacts
to him at certain points in the game. They could deviate from
traditional storytelling and make it a Russian roulette of
       perspectives between the three.
