Ahahaha wow I called that brutalbait
Okay, so now that we know Nick is legit, this is great for us. I
do believe Penguin about being Oracle, however what I'm more
interested in is the reactions to people realizing Colts was the
brutal wolf this whole time.
Tonight someone is going to blow up because of detonator, and
Nick can get another result on someone. Cop shoots Colts and the
brutal is out of the way.
I know Penguin is likely to be Oracle, but the small percent
chance that he is indeed detonator makes me want to continue
lynching him just in case.
Lena doesn't look too good right now because she was -lightly-
defending Colts, something along the lines of "I believe Colts
more than Nick" or something like that. This is what she kind of
odd when the two of us were wolf buddies in Desperation, I
believe? Regardless I'm still keeping my lynch on Penguin.

imo the optimal strategy would be Wolf D2, Wolf N2 (Colts) and
start looking for Detonator before going for Wolf 3
however since Penguin could easily be Detonator we can kill him
now to assure that only one bomb is placed

if I were detonator and penguin was lynched I would simply not
kill anyone to trick town into thinking I was dead
as it is, I don't find the penguin lynch compelling. wondering
about shrub being wolf, but I don't have any hard reads on him
yet.

Only caveat to that is that if the detonator already placed a
bomb N1, that player is gonna die N2, so they can't really hide.

wait question @avy if the detonator dies does their bomb still
go off if they placed it the night before?

The Penguin lynch would be because he's 100% not town, but
there's the argument that he's also not a wolf and probably
isn't Detonator
if we don't lynch Penguin then we'll have to find someone else,
so far Lena, KitKats, and Le_Shrub are the 3 I've seen thrown
out as names?

Don't you all remember Human is NOT the claim, especially when
we have a town of only four roles that think they're human.
in the jailkeeper I made a post similar to this as wolf, it's a
good strategy for 1. seeming like you're helping the town by
enforcing the meta and also 2. leaving space for roleclaims on
the part of the wolves. not saying he's def wolf for this, just
that the one other time someone posted this they were wolf and
it was an active wolf strategy.

lynch colts for posting elsewhere but not here yet
still way too quiet
Yeah that's a bit suspicious to me too, if we go on past history
the last time Colts was this quiet was Desperation, where he was
scum in the Borrower.
But I mean Penguin is never off the hook for me either.
lynch penguin022 for being annoying and changing his lunch vote
three **** times
He did this last wolf game (Tick-Tock Two), where he lynched
Colts quick and then swapping, leading a mislynch on lena.
I think Colts & Penguin are our best options atm, but I'm
definitely hoping for more people jumping in on discussion.
imo this reads like the type of soft-bussing common in
mid-to-experienced players, which I feel lines up with shrub's
wolf game in desperation, where you say a fellow wolf is sus,
which helps make you look less sus after they eventually die,
but you don't actually lynch them and you make sure to offer an
alternative target who you state to be just as sus. this is
obviously hard to distinguish from legit reads from a human, but
when you combine it with his follow up post once people stsrted
to actually lynch colts...
[quote author=Le_Shrub link=topic=37.msg1467#msg1467

Ooh I don't like the "everyone jumps on Colts" thing, even
though I found him suspicious initially.
I'm about to be a hypocrite and lynch Colts as well, but I feel
like a lot of the people on this train had no real reason to be
on it. If Colts isn't a wolf, we need to keep this in mind.
Colts please get on and make a defense.
it raises questions imo. that and knowing colts is probably
brutal wolf.
[quote author=Le_Shrub link=topic=37.msg1496#msg1496

Okay so I think Colts is a wolf and realize that he would get
lynched today (for some reason??) So, instead of just dying with
a normal human claim, he claimed seer so the actual seer would
come out and the wolves would get an easy target.
Of course I could be horribly wrong, however those are my
thoughts. Lynch Colts again.
just committing to the bussing, if he's wolf, which is a good
way to make yourself seem town despite it not being a
particularly risky since it looks like colts is basically dead
anyway and he's brutal wolf. this isn't really new evidence
against shrub, it just makes sense if you already think he's
wolf based on other posts (which I do). also noting the
unnecessary paragraph in this post so that it looks like he's
actively contributing instead of just following a bandwagon,
which is also interesting bc he's basically predicting what the
wolves are talking about in secret. possibly just transcribing
wolf chat here?
[quote author=Le_Shrub link=topic=37.msg1577#msg1577

I'm really starting to think that jerk is a fool the way he's
just commenting after every single post, being really pushy with
Colts, and all the other stuff he appears to be doing.
But I mean... lynching the fool isn't the worst thing ever, it's
not a town population, and it would remove all the "fool tries
to get lynched" type of posts.
I won't be on until a lot later today, so... I'll lynch jerk as
well, "seers", you should check each other tonight and report
back on the results.
I really don't like this post. "what's the harm in lynching the
fool anyway" is always sus in my books, since if you're a good
town, and you think someone probably isn't who you want to
lynch, why would you lynch them. it always sounds like a wolf
stalling for time to me (which especially makes sense in the
context of this day considering one of the next highest lynch
targets is a wolf who is unlikely to live long no matter what,
so any kind of mislynch to waste the town's time in getting rid
of that wolf is welcome)
[quote author=Le_Shrub link=topic=37.msg1638#msg1638
again with the insisting on lynching neutrals who even he admits
are probably not the right targets. everything I said in the
last paragraph, but even more since it seems to be a repeat
strategy.
all in all, that was a lot of words to say not very much, but
regardless, lynch shrub

Looking back at myself I do look really wolfy oh no
I opened up the option of the brutal strategy because it's
something I wish I would have done back in Desperation (although
I did end up getting the Guardian there). I was the first one to
point it out because Colts's claim just seemed so out of the
blue and like immediate brutalbait.
As for my neutral lynches, someone (I forget who? Or maybe I'm
just imagining things?) pointed out that neutrals don't help
either side. While less ideal than a wolf lynch, they are more
ideal than a town lynch as town keeps their majority over the
wolves. I went for jerk D1 because of the aforementioned brutal
strategy that I thought was a thing, and I didn't want Colts
taking down our seer. jerk, while I did think he could be a
fool, was already going to get lynched at that point and I
wasn't the nail in his coffin anyway - since he hadn't claimed
he was a safer lynch than the person I assumed was the brutal.
And now, although I think Penguin is really the Oracle, Nick
sealed his fate by seering him black and a chance that he is
detonator makes him worth a lynch in my eyes.

unlynch Penguin
tbh I do like the points against Shrub, the idea that he was
bussing Colts makes sense if the idea that Colts was supposed to
brutalize me is true
