role play proposal

Here me out here, for awhile now I've had this idea for a role
play in my head with a well defined setting and characteristics
that was not WH related.
I never found the time or the place to really utilize it until
recently and since you guys are some of the most consistently
intelligent I have seen on the internet I thought I might as
well try it out on you guys.
If you guys are not interested I will say no more about it but
if you are than I will expand upon it further.
This is a summary of the setting.
EDIT:
A better version of this summary was posted further down.

Hakkan
For 400 years the tropical lands of Hakkan have been at peace
after the conquests of the ancient Chaiyphano king Devaranja the
Divine the first emperor, whose descendents the Souan Nayonate
still rule over the vast lands their ancestor conquered.
During this age, the numerous conquered kingdoms of Hakkan
became provinces of the Nayonate and were varying in their
loyalty to the Chaiyphano and the Nayonate as a whole. Loyalty
is especially strained in the south of Hakkan who ever since
their defeat in the wars of Devaranja have held resentment
towards their northern Chaiyphano rulers.
The south as a whole was also less economically savvy than their
northern counterparts who upon decree of the Nayonate were
rewarded yearly for their loyalty to the Nayonate to the
detriment of many southern nobles and citizens.
This would all change with the coming of strange looking ships
that belched smoke, brandished iron hulls, and bristled with
cannons and weaponry leagues ahead of any ever seen within
Hakkan. These foreigners came from a far off land called
Eursogoth and flew the flags of the Ostalian empire who with
their guns at the ready negotiated terms of trade with the
ruling emperor Ramesha Souan and the rulers of the Lankao
province. These terms included the establishment of a permanent
Eursogothi enclave in Hakkan as well as trade rights that
heavily favored the Ostalians.
In time, other foreign empires came to Hakkan in order to mine
the goldmine of unspoiled riches hidden within the land and
expand their empires ever more.
Ramesha was considered a weak and vacillating ruler by many
though he too was furious with the situation at hand and
secretly funded a conspiracy against the foreigners known as the
Aernauga or Red hands movement. However the ruler of Lankao
Vassua Krishna saw the incredible feats of technology reached by
these outsiders and engaged in a multitude of treaties and deals
behind the backs of the emperor and those loyal to the Nayonate
in general and counter to the feelings of the north began to
modernize.
Slowly but surely Krishna began to gain support among his fellow
southern rulers who began to form what is commonly known as the
Hakkani imperialist movement. Once the emperor caught wind of
this news, his rage was further stoked which caused him to send
most accomplished general Makara and an army of 10 thousand to
remind Vassua of who the true ruler of Hakkan was.
Unfortunately Vassua was alerted by one of his spies in the
emperors court and brought to bear his own army, armed with
muskets and artillary. Seeing the firepower arrayed before him,
Makara submitted and met with Vassua who at that moment in front
of all the lords of the south and an army loyal to the Nayonate
declared himself Emperor of Hakkan.
Being at a loss for words, Makare did not realize that his army
was set upon by the secessionists and massacred almost down to a
man.
Ramesha finally was at an end to his patience and declared war
on the newly formed imperialist state who in response to the
sudden unification of the south formed the continuous Jukai
domain. Ramesha also began to initiate in arms deals with the
Thrucian empire a newly arrived state in Hakkan alongside
Geldahan and Arseilia.
Thus Hakkan was split into halves, the new Imperialist state and
Jukai domian....
The Hakkani civil war is about to begin....

Because the 1st post was quickly written this is the expanded
version(again for all interested)
This mainly describes the story by surmising the 2 factions
fighting for Hakkan.
Nayonate/Jukai
Established in the 3rd century of the Kunto faith by the first
emperor of Hakkan Deveranja the divine, who was thought to be a
war deity incarnated into the shape of a human due to the
breadth of his conquests(also called a Sucho). This emperor
established the first and last Nayonate or "endless empire" of
Hakkan which was ruled by the Souan dynasty, the last flesh and
blood descendants of Deveranja himself after he ascended to the
higher realm(though it is more likely they just usurped power
from his actual descendents but nothing is proven).
The Souans have ruled continuously for 4 centuries since the
unification of Hakkan and are a far cry from the legacy of
Deveranja and have turned to more lavish pursuits such as
ruinously expensive tournaments and games as held in their home
of Chaiyphano.
The former kingdoms of the Hakkani kings became the various
domains of the Nayonate, and retain much of their former
cultural identity though the rulers of each domain must pay
tribute to the Souans each year as a sign of submission and
recognizing of the Nayonates power.
The Nayonate is by no means a happy family however as massive
divisions exist between the southern domains of Hakkan and those
in the north. During the conquests of Deveranja many of
Chaiyphanos allies were the kingdoms in the north of Hakkan
especially those near to their borders.
In order to avoid massive amounts of bloodshed they knew
Deveranja was capable of they allied with him to aid in the rest
of his conquests which mainly extended south as the mountains to
Hakkans north were by all accounts insurmountable. When they
refused to confederate peacefully Deveranja visited great
vengeance upon them, by looting every single settlement he came
across and exterminating almost all in his path. The southern
kingdoms never won a single battle against the vengeful
Chaiyphano king.
The scorched earth tactics applied by Deveranja crippled the
Souths economy and caused famine on such a scale that they
struggled to recover from it even centuries later. The Souan
dynasty has always made sure to remind the southern domains of
their insubordination by never allowing immigration to the
northern domains(all domains north and east of Muete) and
forcing them to pay more than twice the tribute of other
domains.
The current ruler of the Nayonate and 30th patriarch of the
Souan dynasty is one Ramesha Somchai Souan who against the grain
of his lineage has started to ease the plight of the southern
peoples though he is still fraught with prejudice against them.
Today, the domains of northern Hakkan have merged into a single
state commonly known as the Jukai domain(though the Nayonate is
almost as commonly used as name). Despite his distaste at the
idea Ramesha and his cabinet knew that modernization of their
arsenal and infrastructure was essential in order to win the war
and so made a deal with the Thrucian empire in order to hasten
the process.
The Imperialists

With the coming of the technologically superior foreign empires
to Hakkan, the whole political ecosystem was thrown out of
balance as the mighty Nayonate as ruled by the unbroken Souan
line was suddenly seen as weak and submissive for the first time
in it's history.
All this is to due with the treaties as signed by Emperor
Ramesha himself, giving the foreigners a substantial chunk of
Hakkan to the Eursogothies and agreeing to every single trade
deal even those that almost exclusively benefited the
Eursogothies to Hakkans detriment.
For all those present this almost universally diminished the
Emperors position and even the Nayonates authority as a whole, a
fact taken to heart by the lord of the Lankao domain Vassua
Krishna who's ancestors had suffered grievously at the hands of
Deveranja and today paid ludicrous amounts of tribute to the
Souan throne due to a failed rebellion but 20 years earlier.
Vassua saw incredible opportunity in the not these foreigners
but their grand feats of technology which had impressed him to
no end, especially their weapons. Over the next year as the
foreign presence in Hakkan became more prominant, Vassua engaged
in secret arms deals for the Eursogothi weapons which in a show
of pride over reason Ramesha shunned with disgust due to the
Nayonates suspicion of foreign goods and limitations on
trade(though they still gladly partook in exotic out lander
goods for personal use).
Vassua then went about making secret alliances with his southern
ilk which allowed for even more foreign goods and technologies
to flow into the country as the backing of his fellows gave them
much needed funds. This secrecy went on for months in even came
to the point of hiring foreign veterans to train the newly
conscripted armies of the southern domains, especially Lankao.
This secrecy could not go on forever, and eventually the Emperor
caught wind of his vassals scheming. Enraged, Ramesha gathered a
Nayonate army of 10 thousand under the leadership of general
Makara a hero of the Lankao civil war 20 years earlier.
Makara marched with the utmost arrogance into Lankao in order to
apprehend Vassua and make him answer for his treachery. What
Makara did not realize however was that Lankao had a rudimentary
modern army at it's disposal with scores of artillery and
muskets at their command. Despite the army numbering only half
the invading force, they completely crushed their primitive
enemies with the power of modern weaponry at the battle of
Apparamye river.
Makara surrendered and in front of the shattered Nayonate
forces, Krishna declared himself the New Emperor of Hakkan and
announced that Lankao, Muete, Phaika, Sathan, and Klulai had
merged into a single Imperialist state.
When news of this came back to Ramesha, words could not express
both his fear and anger towards the secessionists and
immediately began the preparations for war on a scale not seen
since the days of Deveranja.
The Imperialists under Emperor Vishna primarily trade with the
Ostalian empire though they have limited dealings with Geldahan
and Arseilia newcomers to Hakkan.
The stage is set for conflict, as the 2 halves of the shattered
country mobilize their armies and prepare for the war to decide
the future of Hakkan itself.

As far as the actual RP would go you could either become fully
invested in the conflict or just ignore it entirely and take
jobs as beast hunters, or bounty hunters, arms dealers, or even
exorcists, ect....
